Ive purchased paper mates similar to these and I always find they dry out quickly, they almost never last a full year. Im putting these to that test to see how long they last. Ill be back to edit this if they dont. These would be the perfect gift for that crafter in your life, I personally wouldn't use them to color with but writing/ annotating with them yes. They're skinny enough to fit in any bag purse or pocket comfortably. The outter shell of the color didn't match the actual color on some but that is often the case with all sorts of markers and pens. I do wish there was a black but the dark grey color is a great alternative. They write smoothly and are comfortable in my hand. They write smooth and as long has you're not heavy handed, it won't smear (sincerely a left handed girly).
