Key shell works perfectly!
Bought two of these to refurbish my two keys, have used one so far, and it works perfectly and looks great! A note though: you're buying the plastic shell, uncut blade, and two screws to hold everything together, and that's it. If you need anything else--a new seal gasket, electrical contact to the blade, anything--you'll have to buy more than this. If this is all you need though, it'll work great!

Why pay the dealer for new keys?
My old GTO keys wore out after 14 years (buttons wore out and came off) couldn't lock or unlock doors anymore. I thought I'd be stuck paying hundreds of dollars at the dealer. Found this pack of 2 for $9.95 and decided to go for it. Worked great. Just pried apart the old keys and swapped out the guts into the new keys, and used same cut key for ignition. I'm a happy camper. Read some other reviews about the buttons being too long and touching the switches inside, so I just trimmed like 1/16" off the rubber part of the bottom of the lock/unlock push buttons and it works great.

Very touchy
Original key 2004 GTO very difficult to open without damaging so I only did one transfer. Once I transferred all components over key fob buttons are very sensitive. Not sure how a 20 year old battery is still working in both fobs.

Easy fix for old keyfobs!
Easy repair for my worn GTO keyfob! As others have mentioned, the little rubber pins under each button need to be trimmed or they push all the switches before you even touch them. It took 5 minutes with a small set of wire cutters to make them right.Great value!

Mostly Very Good
I like the revised design. No need to bond the halves together like the OEM part. However.....the little stubs on the back of the pushbuttons are too long, so i had to find a way to shorten them so they would not activate all the microswitches 100% of the time. That part was highly annoying. A lot of trial and error to go through. Once that was done, though, they work very nicely.

Trunk push button depressed when assembled.
The trunk push button membrane post is too tall and permanently depresses the button opening the trunk. It took some playing to understand the issue. I modified the post with a hot soldering iron tip to make (melt) it shorter and it works OK.

Great option but does need slight modifications
As others have pointed out, you'll need to trim down the little nubs on the back of the buttons to ensure they're not always making contact. Easily done with any basic tool including toe nail trimmers. Swapped both our keys as the originals' buttons were starting to fall apart. Didn't need to rekey or program anything since the original key and circuit board were used (only replaced the cover/buttons). Would highly recommend to fellow GTO owners. Well worth the money! One final note: keep your old key bodies as they have codes on the back if you ever needed to replace the guts.-- Original 2006 quick silver GTO owner
