Great replacement for my Gibson SG Junior
Installed a set of vintage-style tulip keystone tuners on my Gibson SG Junior. I know they’re not era-correct for this particular model, but aesthetically I’ve always preferred the classic Gibson tulip look. For me, the visual upgrade alone was worth it. Fitment was excellent — completely drop-in. No drilling, no reaming, no modification required. They lined up perfectly with the existing holes and bushings. Tuning action feels smooth and consistent with no noticeable backlash. Tension feels very similar to the stock Gibson tuners. So far, stability and durability seem on par with the originals. If long-term wear becomes an issue I can always reinstall the factory set, but at this point I don’t see that happening. For the price, these are outstanding value.

There is no need to learn a lesson with tuners
I cant stress enough the value in buying good, true name brand tuners. I respect that people have a budget, but let me be your guide here - I have made the mistakes. When it comes to tuners, you just cant go wrong with the major players - in this case Kluson. These cost about $50 - there were plenty of similar options for less. The extra money was WELL WORTH IT, and when it comes to tuners and my experience, it always has been. I replaced a set of Epiphone Deluxe white button tuners on an Epiphone (Inspired by Gibson) Les Paul Junior P90 guitar with these. Not only were they a drop in fit, but I was also able to use the existing Epiphone Deluxe tuner parts; the screw mounting bushings and the small mounting screws on the back of the neck to mount the tuners. These tuners fit exactly in place - with absolutely no modification, no too-tight or too-loose fitting places as the tuners were placed in the existing mounting holes, and no crooked screw-ins based on any holes being off-center. They are a perfect fit. They look original to the guitar, they turn smoothly and hold tune as they should. This was a major upgrade both aesthetically and functionally to the guitar. Next time you are considering replacement tuners, do yourself a favor and spend just a little bit more to get brand name quality tuners.

Better than the original tuners.
This is my second set of these, now installed on a Gibson Les Paul and an Epiphone ’58 reissue Flying V. I love the vintage look and how much they enhance tuning stability.

Thank you Grover... You got it right!
If you have a tuner with the words "Gibson Deluxe, Fender Deluxe, Kluson Deluxe " ect, you would think that you have a pretty good tuner. Right? That's not always correct. I've always liked the look of the "Vintage Style" tuners, but in most cases, they have been my least favorite tuners to use. Other than them being lightweight they aren't perfection when it comes to tuning, it seems as though you always have one that the back falls off of. The reason being that the other big name companies use two small tabs that fold over to hold the backs on. Good luck with trying to fix it and even more luck to you in trying to buy just one replacement tuner. Here's where Grover should receive an award for being "GENIOUS"! Grover Vintage Style tuners are heavier, stronger, smooth as silk when tuning and they don't use those annoying little tabs to hold the backs on. How do they do it? They use three small riviots to assemble them and it works. You'd need a jackhammer to get the backs off of these. In a nutshell, they are stronger, smoother and better looking than any other brand of Vintage Style tuners that I have ever used. GREEN...GREEN...GREEN? No, they are not. I've read other reviews from people complaining about the Green-ish color. These people might not be old enough to know that plastics have changed a lot over the years. Since these are Vintage Style tuners, they are trying to replicate the plastic of yesteryear. Do some research on vintage guitars. Go to your favorite guitar store and look at vintage Les Paul's as well as brand new ones. I'm sure you'll agree that the color of the knobs on these tuners are just fine. No... They are NOT pearl white. Likewise, they are not Christmas Tree Green either. I personally don't care if they are Barbie Pink. They are fantastic tuners and they really don't deserve to get a lower rating, simply because someone doesn't like the color of the plastic knobs. Buy a set. You and your guitar will love them.

Groovy Grovers
Excellent upgrade from the ES-335 Epiphone stock tuners. The screw holes aligned perfectly. The Grover 135N Vintage Tuners have a firm and precise rotation for more accurate tuning. Kudos to StewMac for shipping it quickly in a sturdy cardboard box and not in an envelope like other shippers.

Perfect Upgrade and Direct REPLACEMENT FOR GIBSON DELUXE TUNERS
These Grover Deluxe tuners are a direct replacement for Gibson Deluxe tuners. They dropped straight into the peg head on my 2018 Gibson Tribute Les Paul Goldtop. The Grovers turn more smoothly and hold the note well. I was disappointed with the original Gibson Deluxe tuner functionality. Basically, these tuner sets are identical except for the word Grover vs. Gibson and the shade of the keystone buttons. Looking at the Gibson buttons, they are slightly transparent, you can see a hint of the gear stem and it is slightly browner than the Grovers. The Grover buttons are completely opaque and slightly greener than the Gibsons. Both sets weighed the same at 6.7 ozs. These observations suggest both sets of machine heads are made at the same manufacturer in Taiwan, as noted on the Grover package. Top quality, fair price.

Love it!!!
I changed the tuners in my Gibson Les Paul Studio from automatic tuners to these. Love the vintage look and feel. Sometimes traditional is just better than any innovation.
