This is a cute story which illustrates persistence very well. My daughter (young 6) was able to identify with the story and we were able to talk about persistence.It was a fun surprise to see there was another story in the book!Overall the reason why this book didn't get all the stars was because although we like reading books many times, this book is not one that my daughter is too inclined to read many times over.

Pretty disappointed. As an educator I wish I had done a little more research before buying. Not a good use of money.

My twin four year old grandsons loved the book and we have read it several times. By the end of the first reading they participated by filling in the word persistant and they love the art work. They also know what owls say, whooo whooo 😃😃

The kids loved it, and it sneaks in a few morals while still being entertaining.
