**Q: Will this work well on house dust?**
A: I use this to vacuum ash from a pellet stove, and while I cannot speak to any allergenic use, I am happy with it because no fine ash is blown back during use.

**Q: What kind of filter does this take?**
A: From the product description: Equipped with a reusable HEPA and a Dacron type filter bag

**Q: What is the diameter of the hose?**
A: The hose is 4 feet and the opening is about an inch and a half.  I use mine to clean pellet stove.

**Q: How well does the dacron filter clean up?**
A: If you mean how well does it shake out the dirt, I've only emptied it twice so far, but it cleaned out well. If you mean how well does it trap the dirt when vacuuming, very well.
