I highly recommend the Z1 Pro 20W laser cutter / engraver. I think it is the best value for the money out there. I just upgraded from a Z1 10W to the Z1 20W Pro. Have owned several Comgrow Z1 Machines - 5W, 10W and 20W, all are great machines. As an engineer from the 90's I can't believe there is this much capability available at this low cost. The video shows some cuts of 8mm plywood, this is a tough material I get scrap from work. The new Z1 Pro is able to cut it with one pass at 200mm/min. The Z1 10W was cutting it, but it took several passes. I am more than pleased with this machine so far. Packaging was very well engineered. Setup for this machine was very simple (less than the Z1 10W) I recommend lightburn, connection was easy once you set the correct baud rate Had one issue with the Z1 10W and comgrow sent a new circuit board with no problem after communication with the engineer.

I've had the Comgrow Z1 PRO laser engraver for over a week now and I'm really enjoying it. I had been interested in a 20W high output laser engraver for a long time. In the end,I chose the Comgrow Z1 PRO laser engraving machine, because the price was affordable. Z1 PRO Self-contained air assist work well, and it really helps to prevent burn marks on the wood! I started by making some small wood related items and it was well received by my family.I'll be experimenting more when I'm a little less busy at work, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Z1 PRO laser engraver performs in other materials, such as acrylic leather stainless steel. I will be purchasing for this machine afterward, a comgrow laser enclosure and Smoker Absorber Remover Fan set. so as not to fill the space with smoke and engraving debris.

I purchased this laser, and I am using the term loosely, because I did not want to invest the $1200.00 in an XTool D1 Pro. Out of the box, Windows will not even find it and you have to install the drivers for it. i did this and Windows then found it. I then flashed the firmware.bin file because Lightburn will not find it. Lightburn hangs on waiting to connect after manual setup and the counsel window scrolls through a bunch of garbage characters but will never connect even enabling DTR signal and changing the baud rate to every rate offered did nothing. Others had this problem with the non-pro version and had to jump through hoops to get it to work. I am sending this piece back and have purchased an XTool D1 Pro. Save yourself some time and purchase an XTool, Atomstack or other manufacturer, but steer clear of these guys. Lightburn for those who do not know is the industry standard software for controlling lasers of all types and sizes. Companies go to the trouble to manufacture motherboards with Lightburn drivers baked in. I have a CO2 laser that I installed a totally new motherboard just to get Lightburn compatibility. This company pulled a real bonehead move not making sure that this worked out of the box with Lightburn.

This laser doesn't even barely cut 6mm wood of any kind. They don't have a great variety of accessories and what they did have I can't seem to find anymore. Did they discontinued this laser machine or what?
