Saw a negative review, but tried from a local vendor and was FANTASTIC!
Havent had rice in years (in Q) and saw this. After reading one negative review (about finding mold) thought dont need to get sick. A local grocer had them and found they were easy to make (you ever made rice before?) and tasted (if rice you cook is a 10, this is a 9 and the flavored product is a 10) it. You push it to loosen (and I have carpal tunnel) in pouch (away from top edge) cut the top by 1/2" and stand in microwave for 90 seconds. Wait till cool and add beans, peas, butter, ? AND the white rice version, has NO SODIUM! Have done 2 bags at one meal. Thank you for making this and giving us a choice. BRAVO!

Is this as good as freshly made rice? No, don’t be ridiculous, but it’s good, quick, and easy.
I love the ready bags. They are definitely not as good as fresh made rice, but they are quick and easy and you’d never use them the same way. You want to toss it into soup, drown it in chili, perfect. It even makes a decent stir fry. If you’re looking for the clean, beautiful, purity of rice, you wouldn’t even be looking at this page. For the day to day, it's fine, certainly better than something awful like Minute Rice. For the fancy, go elsewhere. Make proper rice.
