It offers great protection for the pocket watch. Be aware that you do need to have a stand to place the watch on in the dome.

Bought this as a gift for my wife. We had purchased a small souvenir clock in Prague that simulated the face of the Castle. It did not have any covering and my had placed it on top of her piano and it was consistently being bumped or knocked and stopping the second hand on the face of the clock. The dome was the perfect size to protect my wife's treasure. The dome is well made and exactly the color and size advertised on Amazon. Perfect for the clock which is just short of being 5" in diameter. Just what the doctor ordered.

I love this globe. Perfect for my Steiff lion and it will keep him safe and dust free while being very visible. The glass is nice and the oak veneer stand it fits into keeps the glass nice and secure. It looks great!

I bought this to make a dome for a flat earth model. So far I like it.

This is a very nice dome for displaying items. I purchased 2 of these, one as a gift as the quality of both the glass & wood finish were exceptional. I highly recommend this for displaying any special item.

I ordered this to display a rare and hard to find Precious Moments in and when it arrives was so excited to get it and put it to use, but the height was too small for the figurine. So, I ended up returning it, BUT ... the product is VERY nice and well made and was shipped very well protected. I may reorder, but just in a larger size.

Expensive and extremely fragile. Broke within 5 minutes of opening it.
