That part is apparently very fragile as in don't touch it and it wont break. I didn't feel, or hear the cap break so I'm unsure of when or how it occurred, but I strive to not abuse parts, no point in buying something twice. It doesn't appear that the plastic cap was designed to have hardly any durability.******** End of 4/13/2020 update **********No complaints so far. My application is a hobby hot air gun coffee roaster for which this motor drives the stir paddles. It runs for 10-20 minutes approximately every 3-4 days.The speed looks correct at 25 RPM.The torque is good. I didn't measure the torque, but rather selected this part based on its rating, which I needed to be about twice my previous choice of motors.
