Excellent!!!! Totally worth the money.
This is such a great purchase, so worth every penny!!! the assembly was easy, the steal frame is solid and safe, it’s got a good sturdy build that makes the perfect ride for my 6 year old. Battery life is as expected with any electric items, but we got a good few hours out of it before charging. Perfect gift for Christmas l. I believe it has a good speed to it for a young rider.

The kids really like this little car.
I'll start off by saying that the kids have had a number of other ride on vehicles and so far this is their favorite hands down. This mini electric McLaren is the fastest of the kids ride on vehicles we've had and also has the shortest turning radius which both contribute to the enhanced driving experience in comparison to some of our other vehicles. This is listed for kids aged 6-12 years but in my opinion it's best for kids on the younger or smaller end of that range. With the length of the McLaren fully extended our 11 year is just small enough to fit semi comfortably. Our nine year old who is considerably shorter fits in the car much better in terms of leg room/length. We also have a five year old who has no difficulty driving this car when we adjust the length to a shorter setting. The car comes mostly assembled but we did have to install the front spindles, steering shaft, plastic steering shaft cover, steering wheel, rear through axle, wheels and caps, seat, rear spoiler, and flag. I don't think I'm missing anything. It sounds like a lot but if you have minimal assembly experience and can follow instructions it should be very simple. It was easy for me and I had the kids do much of the work with my supervision as they loved the idea of "building it themselves". It does seem to run for quite awhile on a charge but one thing that I have a bit of an issue with is that I don't see any charging indicator, just the battery level indicator when the car is turned on. And if I recall correctly the instructions seemed to indicate to be careful to not overcharge it so I have made sure to keep a close eye on it during the charging procedures and I've only had it charging a couple of hours at a time when I unplugged it, at which point the AC adapter end of the charging cable is quite hot. In my opinion the overall build quality and functionality of the McLaren seem to be pretty good, aside from my concerns about the charging system. The kids love driving it and they get a lot of enjoyment out of it, in my opinion I would say it has good replay value.

So far kids love it. It's decently fast, handles well, and took very little time to build. I'll update this if the item comes back and I have any issues.

Quality product
Great product— with strong chassis to keep kids safe. Only wish the tires were made of rubber versus plastic. Can’t do too much on slippery surfaces. Other than that— my son loves it.

We Needed a Pit Crew for the Assembly, But Worth It
This 24V kart is definitely the next progression for ride-on toys, right before moving to a real gas-powered go kart. It took me a while to install this on my own, maybe grab a friend to help with the heavy lifting. The instructions were clear enough, but it is not a quick assembly process if you are working solo. The go kart feels very sturdy once everything is put together. My kids had a lot of fun with it. For my youngest, the 5-year-old, it moves a little fast. But my 8-year-old daughter absolutely wouldn't let go of the gas pedal, she loves the speed. The design quickly adjusts for the size difference between the children. This is key because it makes the toy usable for both of them now and for years to come. The variable speed control (CVT mode) really helps younger drivers get used to the controls before they try out the top speed.

REALLY cool... not weatherproof!
Overall, this miniature McLaren is REALLY cool - exceeds expectations! It was a gift for my daughter turning 11. I was worried it would be too small or too juvenile for her. Not at all! Not only was she very impressed and excited by it, but so were even older kids (in the 13-14 range). Assembly is rather tedious, you really have to build up most of the body onto the chassis, in the interest of having the smallest possible box (still quite large). Plan for 1-2 hours of assembly. All tools are provided. Once completed, the car can elongate or shorten depending on the length of the rider any time and it is very easy to do so. This really lets it be comfortable for a wide age range! Controls are fairly easy - there are two speed modes, a lights on/lights off mode (just orange undercarriage lights; the head and tail lights are just printed stickers); and a forward and reverse option. The top speed is ~pretty fast~ for a ride-on toy! Like, borderline dangerous for a younger child or a crowded street. But older kids will absolutely love it. It's able to drift a moderate amount but nothing extreme. Battery life lasts a long time (it was hard to measure exactly how much riding time, but we went 2-3 days between charges during the peak excitement period). There is a McLaren-branded flag that helps other drivers with visibility, though I feel that it could be even taller. Here is one major warning: it is NOT weather-proof, store it indoors! Even though the battery and all the electronic wirings are under a plastic cover, the buttons are exposed and in general it is not protected enough from the elements. Tragically, a few months after receiving it, it was left out in some heavy rain and, first some wires got "crossed" from wetness where it would just try to drive even when pedals were being pressed, and then soon after it just short-circuited and burned out completely. It would no longer turn on or charge. We are all very disappointed, but ultimately it should have been stored indoors. Cautionary tale!! We have left many other ride-on toys outside for entire seasons and they have survived. Treat this like you would a real McLaren and put it inside the garage for storage!

ridden for a month so far, no issue
To be clear, you need to be aware of body sizing for this. My kid just turned 5, and fits this perfectly. She's large for her age. She's way light on the max weight total, but dimensionaly fits the driving envelope (pedals/steering wheel access). If your kid fits what I just described, great. As far as speed, thrill factor, and danger factor i'd say this also seems about right for her age. It took me a couple hours to assemble it out of the box, and we've taken it out for use 8 times so far. The battery lasts a long time, but the system overall shouldn't be taxing the power source too much. The wheels are very plasticy, so don't expect good grip on wet soil or anywhere it could partially sink (sand). The lights on it are beautiful. So far the only piece we've broken on it is i've snapped the back tail section by lifting it via the plasticty bit. It's not a visual crack but the tail is a bit looser then before. Otherwise seems no other damage on it.

next-level
This is not a rinky-dink ride-on toy—it’s a genuinely thrilling experience for kids. The dual 200W motors provide impressive torque and smooth acceleration, especially in CVT mode where speed adjusts gradually for safety. It’s fast enough to be fun but has enough safety features to keep parents sane: adjustable seat belts, anti-skid tires, and reinforced bumpers. The McLaren branding is legit, and the body looks sharp in person with its LED accents and low-profile build. Assembly is fairly straightforward and the materials feel high-end. Perfect for ages 6–12 who’ve outgrown Power Wheels and are ready for something next-level.
