Review: Grandson loved it even more than his father but in less than an hour one of the controllers broke, probably a loose wire. Review: I had a slot car racetrack as a little boy. My little boy, 5 years old, saw a photo of me playing it and wanted one for his birthday. I got this product for his 5th birthday. It's a huge success. I definitely had to put it together for him, but he got the hang of driving pretty quickly. I'm glad the controllers have a governor so he can enjoy it more. They easily pop off so the controller has full throttle range. Even with the governors off, the cars did not fly off the track. Also a neat feature is the lap counter. My only complain is the guardrails that come with the track. They are flimsy and frequently come off if a car bumps one or even if you as so much brush one with your socks. Otherwise, it's perfect. For a 1/43 Carrera GO set, the 62480 DTM Master Class has a track length of a little over 29 feet. The 62522 Victory Lap is a close second with a little over 28 feet. The 62476 Disney Cars set is approximately 16 feet. All sets can be expanded with either track extension sets or individual track pieces of track as well as an extensive accessory line. **Q: Can the analog set be converted to digital to use the wireless controllers** A: Carrera USA no longer supports Digital 143. The only wireless controllers currently available through the company are for 1/32 scale and will not work with a GO set. Although you can obtain Digital 143 wireless components from Europe, none of the GO cars available for sale will be compatible once the conversion is made.
