They came ready to install and I had no issues attaching them to the crankset. I was concerned at first, because the pedals seemed a little stiff, so I wasn't sure that they wouldn't spin properly while riding. By the third ride they were no longer stiff and spinning just fine. I put about 300 miles on them so far and I haven't noticed a single issue.
