National Artcraft Hinged Frame with Flexible Plastic Membrane Displays Fossils, Minerals, Coins, Jewelry, Stamps and Other Objects from Either Side

The other reviewer did not read the product description which clearly says it is a flexible membrane!These frames are great BECAUSE they have flexible membranes. They are perfect for anything with texture or that's thicker than a trading card including fossils or, in my case, a medallion from 1692. The thin membrane gently forms around the item and holds it securely. It felt quite sturdy and protective. The frame was easy to open and, since it's hinged, it was easy to get the item in place without a fuss. I wasn't brave enough to put my dead but perfect butterfly in it. (No, I didn't kill it. I found it outside.) But other reviews of other sizes of this line of frame say they have been able to put beetles in it without damage. I'm planning to get more for some of my roman coins and fossils.

It worked for what I needed it for (to display origami money), but who in the world thought using cellophane instead of the typical glass or plexiglass in frames was a good idea?!? I can’t BELIEVE that’s even a thing! Be VERY careful or you’ll tear right through that cellophane. This was a dumb idea 100%. There was no reason this couldn’t have been even cheap plastic. And for the price, cellophane as the “glass” is absolutely ridiculous.
