When loose, the first two turns basically doesn't change anything. I would be nice if they were able to give us a more gradual progression of drag. As the star wheel has comfortable shape to push, you do feel the drag tightening up through the star, which is a good thing. But if you like to use light tackle, your line might break because the drag is very strong and sudden. It holds a lot of braided line and has clicker. Although I have casted it, I can also use it for trolling because of the clicker. The price is getting up there and it is debatable to go Shimano or not. Shimano only use 4 bearings, the secrets of bearings is Shimano have precise manufacturing, which makes all parts fit together and spin without friction.. they are nice and very salt water resistant, but I don't know about Piscifun long term. Update: I've been using this for trolling, landed over 10 fish now and it is holding up well. This reel does not unwind left and right like a trolling reel, but the line goes out well it does not matter. With the clicker makes it more useful for trolling. The drag is pretty easy to use.
