Calculus Combo

This book was required for my Calculus I class. The instructor assigned homework problems from the different sections of the first 4 chapters. I say that it was alright because just like the one star review mentions, some of the answers in the answer key were wrong, and the exercise problems required you to use concepts not covered in the book. Luckily for me, I had a pretty good Calculus instructor that "filled the gaps" (for the most part) on concepts that the book did not mention, or cover.

Oh my god if your class requires this book you're in for a bad time. The book is a 1st edition and a lot of the answers in the back are wrong. A lot of the homework questions will use concepts not covered in the section prior. The examples given usually do 1 problem per concept. That would be fine if the problems in the homework section didn't need to be tackled in a totally different way.Expect to ask a lot of questions to get through this book. Spend time with your schools math tutors if available. The book nearly requires someone to translate for you and fill in the gaps.
