Oh boy, where to start. The biggest issue I ran into with the Deco XE70 Pro was simply getting my phone to connect to it. I purchased the Deco specifically for the 6GHz Wi-Fi band, but my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra just would not connect. Every attempt resulted in a simple "connection failed". The phone connected to other 6e networks just fine, so it's something specifically wrong with the Deco, like broadcasting an invalid security protocol or something. Beyond that, I found that there just was no configurability. I first tried to access it via its web UI only to find that there were literally no settings available to change other than checking/updating the firmware. After some searching, I discovered you can only configure the device using an app. After installing the app and adding the Deco, I was surprised to find the settings available were extremely limited. While I could create new SSIDs, change their security protocol and password, and specify which bands were broadcasted for each SSID, I could not change the Wi-Fi channel, power transmit strength, or the 6GHz band width. I was able to put it in AP mode, though. Any settings beyond that just don't seem to exist, unfortunately. At first, I was happy to find it had a dedicated IoT Network SSID. However, I found that it was unusable. Every time I added an IoT device to the network, all my devices physically connected to the upstream router would disconnect. On top of that, the IoT devices would constantly lose connection to the AP. I ran into the same issue with the dedicated Guest Network. Then, using a wireless network scanner, I discovered the 6GHz band that I wasn't able to get my phone to connect to was also dropping out every few seconds. The signal strength was fine everywhere I checked but the network itself was incredibly unstable. The only reason I purchased this device was because it was the cheapest option for a Wi-Fi 6e access point. I do suppose you get what you pay for, however. I purchased a TP-Link Festa F76 AP, instead, and that's been working very well and solved all the issues I had with the Deco. Needless to say, I'll be returning the Deco and will be avoiding that line of devices going forward. Overall, I can't recommend the Deco XE70 Pro as an AP or as anything beyond a plug-and-forget dumb router. Given the 6e connection issues, general instability of the Wi-Fi, and lack of any real configurability, it just doesn't make sense that it's even on the market. Avoid with prejudice.

Coverage is great! The app is not very customizable though.

Seems to work well, but there are periodic losses of network connection. as I had this problem before adding the XE70 to my mesh network, it may be due to other causes. Easy to add to existing TP-Link mesh network, great speeds when working.

I previously had the Deco X75 Mesh System 3 pack, but I bought this unit to upgrade my primary unit, since this will handle my higher speed fiber optic Internet, with its 2.5GB ethernet port. It was easy to swap this unit with my previous main unit and reassign that one to another part of the house, which gives me full signal now in every corner. The wired speed for my desktop also increased with this router, so it must have a little more horsepower under the hood. So far, it's working flawlessly with the existing system, and it carried over all of my previous settings. I've been using Deco Mesh Systems for several years now, and they've been very reliable and stable. We run multiple TV's, phones, laptops, cameras, light bulbs, and other smart devices off this system, and we have no performance issues at all.
