GE Universal Remote works well with two different smart tvs!
I wanted a universal remote for my brand new 24" smart tv and saw this GE brand remote designed with a backlight feature. I ordered it in USED-VERY GOOD condition and it came literally the very next day! THANK YOU AMAZON!I researched the smart tv codes and got it to work with both Samsung and Ignacio (Fire Tv) brands AT THE SAME TIME! WOW! HAPPY!Hint: You can save up to four codes on four different devices on the GE Universal remote. I managed to save two separate codes, both smart tvs, both different brand names and sizes, each with its own code programmed on the remote via TV button. The I/O button (power ON/OFF) flashes red when paired. I thought the LED at top of remote was supposed to turn RED but it is the I/O button. Also, I was trying to figure out how to get the rainbow colors, like it shows on the ad, but it only has one color per COLOR button. It is a nice remote so far!

Just a jealous man crying myself to sleep
Just came back to order a second one and figured I'd leave a review. I bought one for the wife's side of the bed and I am using the remote the TCL Roku TV came with, but I have to use the Bose solo 5 sound bar remote to turn the sound bar on, and now I'm jealous of her remote. Super easy to set up. Both TV and sound bar used the first codes in the booklet and it works perfectly!*UPDATE* Now I am buying a third one of these because we can NOT find the wifey's 🤣. Must have gone where all the socks disappear to... Still a perfect remote for our needs, minus a tracking device 🤷♂️

Great for price!
We needed a remote for the tv we had and honestly it’s a good remote. I haven’t had any problems with it I also like that you can change the color of the remote with just a simple button!!

Worked Perfectly
I have a RCA TV that uses a BrightStar Remote BR100B which makes it impossible to view or edit any TV settings. I could not change anything but channel or volume on the TV with the Brightstar remote. I ordered the GE Backlit Universal Remote Control to see if I could get a remote control to pull up TV settings/menu. This remote has excellent instructions. I downloaded the instructions/User Manual (PDF) from the product page. I followed the Auto Code Search from the instructions, and it worked perfectly. I now have a TV where I can pull up a menu and change all the settings for the TV from the Menu button.

Does the job!
For the 9.99 I paid for this, it's totally worth it. I thought I'd have to find the codes for my devices, but the automatic code search feature took less than a minute for my DVD player and CD player. I was even able to add my CRT tv with the automatic code search, which surprised me. The only thing I don't like is that there are no dedicated skip forward and skip backward buttons for music; instead, the channel up and down seem to skip forward and backward when I am using my CD player. I was concerned that support for 4 devices wouldn't be enough, but I have 3 set up right now and can't think of anything else I care to control with this remote, so I guess it's all I need!I think it would be cool if it had re-legendable buttons for the devices, so you could add your own custom device labels.

This remote is wonderful!
I love this remote! My old remote had gotten to where it wouldn't do anything. Then I bought a remote on Amazon that would turn the TV on or off, and with difficulty switch to the channel keyed in. The keys were labeled with brands of TV Not functional. And I never did locate a key for the dot, which I really needed, For 13.2, 58.2, etc. This remote is perfect--the buttons are easy to press, and responsive. And I love the dot--works really well!I was watching a lot of 13.2, 58.2, etc.

Trouble Using with Cable
My problem with the remote. -This describes my Sony RemoteOn my Sony remote I can select HOME or TV. When I press HOME the apps I pay for appear. When I press TV, cable becomes available but I must use the cable remote to access everything on cable.GE RemoteThis new remote continues to allow access to everything on my Sony TV. I press TV, ON, HOME to see the apps I pay for. The GE remote allows me to turn on cable, but I have to press 5 buttons, to turn it on, AUX, On, TV, Input, OK. Once it's turned on I must use then use the cable remote. I had hoped that I could use one remote for TV and cable, but it's not possible.
