Dog proof! These are durable, commercial grade bait stations. They have been tested by my 60 lb Malinois dog who mistook the bait station for a food toy/puzzle and was very determined about getting the "food" inside. Thankfully, the station was Malinois-proof. Now I pile large rocks on top just in case my dogs decided I've purchased another challenging food puzzle for them to play with.

Excellent Product. I never used bait stations i would just throw poison out all around the walls of our farm sheds. But i wanted a bait station to put in our office. What i found out was that when i would throw poison out in our sheds within a few days mice or rats would grab the whole chuck and take it. I would go through a 4 lb container every week or 2. Maybe it was killing alot of them or maybe not i just knew i always still had mice and rats. but the bait station it seems to me that it makes the bait last alot longer so one rat can't take the whole block of poison. So because of that i am now going to buy 12 more for our sheds.

Good Enclosure But Rats Don't Enter
The case itself is well-made but I have yet to have a rat enter it and eat any poison.

Best rat bait station we've owned
We have a small farm in Hawaii and keeping the rat population down around the livestock is important. We tried another bait station available at the feed store and it only held four bait blocks, used a clumsy two-key system to lock it down, and was kinda flimsy. This bait station is very rugged, holds 12 bait blocks (four places, three high, may depend on type of bait you buy) and has an option to lock down with an easy push-with-finger-release or use the included hex screw and allen wrench if you want it REALLY tamper proof. If I need more bait stations, this is the only bait station I will buy. Since using it, our rat problems are gone. Some of the rats were originally a little skeptical of the station. That could have been the type of bait blocks we were using. A THIN layer of peanut butter on the bait blocks is all that's needed to bring the shy rats in.

Didn't work for me
I bought two of these and so far the rats don't use them. Something, I don't know what, brought some stuff into the bait station and left it there? I'm pissed because I bought two of these so I wasted almost $50!

Great product, a little pricey
These bait stations seem a tad expensive for what is, in the end, a plastic box, but they work great. I love that you can load 9 bait chunx in, so they're set for weeks even with a heavy infestation. These stations are easy to open and refill, but impossible for little kids or pets to open or access the poison in. I have a couple dozen of these and will buy more as needed.

Large openings for large rats.
In the past I've used smaller bait stations, which my large rats gnawed out the opening on. These large openings are much better. They also hold more bait and can handle larger bait chunks. Also they don't require a key (just snap shut if properly placed) to open which makes checking or refilling them easier. The only problem is some of the Tomcat bait has to have about one fifth of the top bait chunk cut off to properly close when full. While I'm whining it would be nice if they were cheaper. but this hasn't stopped me from getting eight of them.
