taste good and convenient
It has some carb, though I still lost weight on my low carb diet. for preparation, I heat little broth in the microwave then add the dry rice, mix it, leave it for 15 min, then ready to eat. I did leave it for few hours to overnight one time, came perfect, just add little olive oil to fluff it up. love how this rice absorbs the flavors you add to it. I did hydrate it with chicken broth, it was yummy. I don't think it is super filling by it self, but when you mis it with cauliflower rice and make egg fried rice with it, super good and very filling. It does have a texture of pasta more than rice, but still good. I recommend. It is expensive, though for the amount, only 2 bags inside the box. If it smells fishy (doesn't bother me), just add seasoning. That would take the smell away. Atleast for me.

Great Rice for Keto
Im just cooked it and so happy to fine a lower carb rice that tastes great! It cooks up like regular rice and os a little softer texture which I prefer. Also it may be because I mixed it in with chicken that I was cooking in a skillet jut 10 minutes bore the chicken was ready / steamed with a lid.

Tastes great but smells weird
I followed the cooking directions on the pack and it came out perfect. Tastes good and you can't tell it's not regular rice. Just don't smell it. It has a fishy smell that turned me off from buying again. Plus it's pretty pricey considering I have a large family to feed. But for a single person or someone who doesn't eat rice everyday this is a great option.

Good to eat
Easy to prepare and texture is about as close to real white rice as you are going to get. This is much better than the "wet" Konnyaku family of noodles and rice that you have to rinse before eating. So,I enjoy using this in my cooking. Only thing is the price, which is pretty high. But, it is still cheaper than monthly payments for a GLP1 prescription.

This is NOT a low calorie alternative to white rice. It's nearly identical in calories!
Was fine from a taste and texture standpoint. Extremely overpriced for what amounts to 2 portions for a typical serving. The fact that its nutritional label reads 8 servings for the package is absurd. The packaging contains 2 packs in it and each pack is supposed to be 4 servings, so when you add up your calories you'll be surprised to find in 1 pack it is 116 calories with 24.4g of carbs only 1.6g is dietary fiber. If you research a normal serving size of cooked rice, it is usually 1/2 cup or approximately 100g and is 100-150 calories. 1 pack of this cooked is 100g (so 1 serving not 4) and it is basically the same calories as regular rice! Perhaps that is because the second ingredient is Rice Flour which negates the whole purpose of getting this! And regular white rice has more Protein, Iron and Thiamin! This was such a waste. Deceptive marketing! That is not what I expected nor do they disclose that on their advertising. Other Konjac brands packed in water are the 0 cal 0 carb versions that you read about. This is

Best Rice Alternative For Me!
Since I am pre-diabetic and rice and grain products increase my glucose level, I am always on the lookout for rice alternatives. I love the Sunnyside Dry Shirataki Konnyaku Rice, which has a similar texture to real rice without the odor in other shirataki products. It cooks quickly (5-10 minutes) with just hot water and 1 pack can yield 2 servings (depending on your appetite). It also goes very well with riced vegetables, which I mix together like in fried rice. And for those who are vegan and/or looking for gluten free alternatives, Sunnyside has the Konnyaku Rice, Vegan, Gluten Free, Keto Friendly, Paleo, Kosher, Low Carbs 0 Fat, Low Calorie High Fiber version of this. The only thing I "dislike" is that I find this product expensive, although I will continue to buy it until I find a similar alternative that is cheaper.
