Beautiful Plant - Easy to grow
I picked up this exact same Costa Farms plant at HD....Ended up absolutely falling in love with it and went back to buy a few more....Unfortunately there were no more. Luckily (thank you Amazon) I found them here. Costa Farms plants are VERY well packaged. The soil is secured with a plastic film (like the kitchen wrap stuff) around the grower pot before being placed into the decorative cache pot. The decorative pot is then secured with a cardboard wrap to further secure the pot, soil and keep the base of the plant from shifting. Then, it is placed into a cardboard insert that secures the pot in place preventing it from moving. All that is put into the shipping box that is made of a nice sturdy cardboard. Now let's get to shipping---More specifically, how it is handled when it is shipped- ay, there's the rub! This is where it is a crap shoot. Will they treat my plant with aloha or not? I think it depends on who happens to be working the day your plant goes through their hands. There are the people that take pride in what they do-even though you will never see their hard work behind the scenes...they see the clear markings on the box and they know it is precious cargo for someone. And then, there is always that one turd that sees that it is a plant and get personal satisfaction from doing everything they can to destroy the contents. Case in point, I ordered one plant one day and then two more about two days later. The first plant arrived. Box appeared intact, but you could see soil sticking to the box tape-you could hear the disheartening sound of broken ceramic pieces inside. Opened the box and the plant looked like it had been dropped in a blender. THIS does not happen with ordinary handling. Upon closer inspection, you could see some dents in the corner on the bottom of the box...it looks like the box was probably dropped straight down so the flat side would hit the ground...it must have been done a few times...because the cache pot bottom looks like it was forced up into the plant and broke-the top of the cache pot basically switched placed with the bottom by breaking in half. ********************Now the second delivery of two plants in two separate boxes. (Key up the peaceful instrumental music here.) Perfect. Not a bit of soil out of place. Every. Single. Individual. Stalk. Was. Perfect. It was like I went to the store and picked it out myself. This plant is beautiful. Costa Farms is an excellent company. There is a chance that your plant will be handled roughly. Now it's your turn to decide to roll the dice. In the meantime, I am going to order a couple more.

Healthy, Beautiful, and Growing Quickly!
The Costa Farms Raven ZZ Plant arrived in excellent health with vibrant, glossy leaves. It started thriving almost immediately, and Iโve noticed new growth within weeks! This plant is super low-maintenanceโperfect for beginners or anyone with a busy lifestyle. It doesnโt need much water or light, yet it grows steadily and looks fantastic. The modern white planter adds a nice touch, making it a stylish and hassle-free addition to any space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a healthy, fast-growing houseplant!

Beautiful plant, well packaged for shipping
Arrived in great condition. Pot was plastic wrapped to prevent dirt from falling out of the pot during transit. Box was perfect sized, pot was packaged well to prevent shifting. Pot is decent quality and attractive, plastic nursery pot with drainage inside heavier plastic display pot without drainage. Plant is beautiful, growing well. A couple larger old growth stalks were chopped down short to fit for shipping, but overall do not make the plant look bad. Soil is a good type for this plant, did not need to repot immediately unlike plants purchased from big box stores. It has put up two new stalks since arrival, the fresh new neon lime green growth was a little startling at first compared to the almost jet black older growth. They are starting to darken up nicely. Look forward to watching this one grow. Will purchase from this company again. Price was reasonable for plant size and condition.

Broken and busted
Not worth $41. I received my package all beat up (see photo). All the new growth was broken off and it took me an hour to try and get the pot undone. I still canโt get all the plastic off because the top part is stuck to the nursery pot.

Healthy plant
I love that Amazon is making available this hard to find variety of plants. The planter is sturdy and good quality. I really like that it came with different instructions in how to maintain the plant. The self watering fixture functions properly and is a good way to no overwatering which prevent root rot. The shape of the planter is appropriate for the size of the plant. The plant looks healthy, only a couple of yellow leaves that need to be removed and to be honest is bigger than I expected.

Exactly as shown in photo
I wanted to add a pop of color to my indoor greenery garden, and this little guy did the trick. The plant was packaged with care, it was healthy and beautiful. I ordered three plants together, the Aglaonema and the Pink princess Philodendron where in perfect condition, however, the Begonia looked almost dead. I thought maybe it went into shock from travelling in a dark box, but upon closer inspection, it looked like it may have been almost dying before it was shipped. Most of the leaves were dying and part of the stem looked like it was bitten off by some insect. I immediately gave it some therapy in order to preserve the life of the poor thing. I have ordered plants from Costa Farms before and this is the first time that the plant was not in good condition. In their defense, maybe the wrong plant got shipped. Since they are a good company I will let it slide this time and hope that this precious beauty thrive. I would have given it five stars if it was not for the plant in poor condition, however, I will always purchase from Costa farms.

Wow! Big and Beautiful!
Package arrived in great condition after the shipping agent took it on a crazy journey LOL. Minimal dirt spillage, plant is in excellent condition. Larger than I thought, looks very healthy. The plastic pot is intact, though I've never used that simple self-watering system before. I decided not to do the self-watering system as everything I'm reading on Raven ZZ says the soil should dry out between waterings. I don't think this self-watering pot will let that happen. Even the Costa Farms site says the soil should dry out between watering....so guess I don't understand why the self- watering pot. Maybe when it's time to water, I can use it and bottom water?
