It is a tad salty, but if you happen to be on a very very low carb diet, then you know salt is needful. The sodium in this made it extra tasty to me. I think it also lends enough flavor to be used on top of grains, pasta, potato, salad or vegetables--if any of that is your thing. For me, I will likely pair it with one tin of plain, as intended. Give it all a nice pop of flavor without being too much. Or maybe I just go for it again and gobble down 2 tins of this lovely Mediterranean flavor option.
