Panel covering speaker popped off with only a little coaxing. I cut the connecter off the original wiring harness and spliced the wires together. The holes in the sheet metal behind the old speaker lined up perfectly with new speakers. Popped the panels back on. They sound great. Good value.

It sounds great! I just needed one to replace my blown front unit in my 2012 tundra.....but adter putting it in i might need to replace the other side. Great value for money, looks good, sounds great. I just installed so not sure about durablility yet, but I always have great experience with pioneer. Have always been a fan of Pioneer 3-way speakers and needed some inexpensive upgrades for my Corolla and am not disappointed in these entry level speakers at all. Nothing fancy, just WAY BETTER AOUND than the paper factory speakers that were in my car! Sound great with the "flat" EQ setting of my stereo but better with a little adjusting, even able to get surprisingly adequate bass and treble from these as well!
