Makes using spoon easy
Needed for disabled relative who has limited ability to hold cutlery. The soft large handle works a treat & spoon at an angle that works for them.

Very good product. Does exactly what it says
Very good product. Does exactly what it says. Bought the spoon for a disabled person- rather than for an arthritic person.......the spoon is a good dessert/cereal spoon size Bending the spoon to the best position requires quite a firm hand but once bent to correct position, it will not need to be bent again! The handle is VERY chunky but is easily removed. Underneath is a strong, easy to grip, plastic sheath. Would recommend without hesitation! This has made a big difference to keeping one's independence going for as long as possible..

user loves them,
Bought for my mum (88), who has severe RA, and broke and arm (& hip!) in Jan .. . she lovrs them and finds them easy to use. Only gripe, is when she puts her cutlery down on side/ edge of plate, they often roll off her plate .. . have suggested she lays her cutlery at an angle across the plate .. .. excellent otherwise.

Not ideal for a dementia sufferer.
Purchased for an Alzheimer's Disease sufferer. Product as stated. It was fairly easy to bend to desired angle. For us the handle was a bit too thick, but this could be remedied by easily sliding off the outer sleeve. Whilst the bend did make it easier to get the spoon into the mouth, the bend made the spoon heavier on one side than the other and the user found it difficult to keep it level and hence the food often fell off the spoon. In summary I think the spoon could be useful for physically disabled users, but in our case it has limited benefit due to the inability of the user to hold the spoon flat.

excellent product which works very well
I bought this product for my sister who is disabled. She found it difficult to angle the spoon when he eats. The fact that the handle is thicker and that you can change the angle a little bit has made a world of difference. My sister loves it and now we are going to buy the angles fork and knife as well.
