However, there are 1000s, of radio stations you can connect to for free. You use the radio knob just like a regular radio and find stations. You can search by genre, name, location and it's well worth it even if you don't subscribe to any music subscriptions. I use mine just about everyday and I'm very satisfied. **Q: Does it it connect through wifi of all carriers ?** A: It connects to your home's WiFi like any other wireless networking device. Your internet provider is not relevant. It does not connect to your mobile carrier. **Q: presets remain empty even as message says that station was saved. Software up to date. Did I receive a radio that was returned for that reason?** A: It’s not connected to the internet **Q: How far away can I place this radio from my router? I was told no more than 10 feet from router.** A: Our router is probably 15 to 20 feet from the radio. Router is on back porch, so blocked by wall/door. We have moved the radio into the living area, which must be over 30 feet away and no problems.
