Worth the money!
My wife had a friend that got one of these and she wanted one. I saw the price and was against it. Put it on my watch list and caught it on sale, so we got one.O...M...G...This thing is amazing. I have always been a drip or percolate coffee drinker, but really liked the coffee from a coffee shop. The issues I always had was the coffee from either the drip or percolate pots was very inconsistent. I was grinding my beans every morning, using the same scoop to put in the same amount of coffee grounds, but the taste would still vary from day to day.In comes the De'Longhi. We added whole beans, the same ones we had been using in our other pots, I didn't expect much. But was I wrong! This thing is amazing, you get the exact same cup of coffee every time!A couple things that I don't like, but they are just personal issues.1. It does seem to use more coffee than the other methods. I can over look this because of the consistency in flavor!2. The water tank is rather small. With 2 people, the tank has to be refilled at least daily. Again, this can be over looked as it keep the water in it fresh.3. The setup was a bit difficult! This isn't just pull it out, fill the water tank, put in some beans and go. It took me well over an hour to read through the manual, get it all set up before we got our first cup of coffee. That was a one time thing and after experiencing what comes out of it, I got over my frustration.4. The descaling seems a bit odd. I get why you need to, but we have a whole house reverse osmosis water filter system along with an additional drinking water filter system. Even with that level of filtered water, we didn't get more than about 1 month before the descale light came on. Hopefully that isn't a monthly thing!Even with those 4 items that bother me, I am still giving this 5 stars because the coffee from this blew me away, and I didn't even talk about the frother! With this, you have everything you need other than the flavorings to make coffee just like you get at any coffee shop!

Perfect espresso
The media could not be loaded. This coffee maker is the best! I can have delicious coffee at any time. Just perfect. Easy to clean, the coffee temperature is just perfect. Not small comparing to a capsules espresso maker, but it’s far better! If you really want an espresso experience at home, using the coffee beans of your choice that’s the best! Not cheap, but definitely worth the investment.

Pleasantly surprised.
Like many other reviewers on here, I also come from a previous Automatic machine which I really enjoyed....In my case it was my trusty Saeco Vienna Plus which served me well for almost 10 years. Sure enough, waterpump took a poop so I decided it was time to see what else is out there instead of repairing. After reading lots of reviews, it came down to this (ESAM04110) vs. the ESAM3300. Some reviews preferred the 3300 while others preferred the 4110. I finally decided on the 4110 because after watching both reviews on Seattle Coffee Gear, I decided the reduced noise, the larger water tank and the larger bean holder as compared to the 3300 were all benefits I would appreciate. The Coffee beans I use are the Danessi Classic. A bit costlier than the others but well worth the difference in my opinion. It was obvious at first pour that this machine was miles ahead of my old Saeco in both features (more on that in a sec) and (more importantly) flavor! The espresso comes out creamy and delicious. Much much better than the Saeco ever did. I'm kinda blown away by how much difference the machine actually makes, as I was always under the false impression that its mostly in the beans. Needless to say, it makes really great espresso shots. Strong, aromatic and creamy. The obvious controls and settings are all great, and can make or break your espresso. In my case I needed to set the grind to the finest setting to get the desired strength. The option of bypassing the grinder and using a separate pre-ground scoop for a one time brew is a wonderful option. I didn't have this on the Saeco, and often wished I did, as it's nice to have a decaf every here and there without having to empty the hopper.Besides the normal settings, there's also an advanced menu which allows you to change the water temp of the press, the off timer, and the water-hardness setting (All this does is postpone the "descale" warning to a acocmmodate for the softer water) . One thing that would have been nice is if pushing the double cup would have produced to separate shots (or at least make a fatter tamp), but it doesn't. Pushing the double cup, simply runs double the water through the same tamp, in essence producing a "long" pull, which you could simply perform by turning the water dial instead. Kind of a waste of a button in my opinion but definitely doesn't take anything away from this 5 star machine. Huge bang-for-the-buck. Buy in now and don't think twice about it.

Looks nice but produces the weakest cup of espresso I've ever had
When our 10-year old De'Longhi Magnifica finally gave up the ghost we found ourselves looking for a new one. Not exactly sure why but there's ~4 different models available right now on Amazon which makes shopping REALLY difficult. From the outside they all look the same or similarly enough price really jumps out as the only difference. After pretty much guessing, we ordered the De'Longhi ESAM04110S Magnifica Fully Automatic Espresso Machine. Right out of the box it made the weakest cup of espresso I've ever had. Turn the settings to minimize water and finest grind and not much better. We thought maybe the machine just needed to break in...LOL, nope. A week and a dozen crappy espresso's later it wasn't any better. Thinking it was defective, we returned it for a replacement but found it to be no different. One thing I'll note is the the 4110S didn't seem to pack the ground espresso very well. The grounds catcher was a pile of grinds not the tightly packed pucks we were used to. Guessing again we ordered the ESAM3300. First double shot was perfect. Perfect foam, perfect color, perfect taste. Just like the machine we'd had for so many years. Now we're again ready to face the day. If you're in the same boat as us and can't decided, may lean a little heavier towards the ESAM3300.
