Purchased as a gift. I added fairy lights inside of it. My friend loved it as did several of the ladies at the event. I may have to purchase more for their birthdays.

The spring on this door is pretty strong, which is a good safety feature if you use a real tea light candle. I bought this for Christmas but l may keep it out all year. It has a nice rustic look and is sturdy.

Item is better then expected. Made well. And priced right. Excellent addition to my cast iron collection.

Attention, cette lanterne est en fonte et elle pèse 1 tonne. Une petite porte qui se ferme et s’ouvre grâce à un ressort permet de glisser à l’intérieur, une bougie chauffe plat. Du coup, c’est très sécure. Le rendu est vraiment charmant. C’est le top pour Noël, mais également pour tous les autres jours de l’année. À mon avis. Perso, je la pose devant ma fenêtre.

The lantern is exactly as I expected from seeing the images in the description. I think it's absolutely charming and an unusual ornament which I now have on display in my kitchen. It's heavy, so if you were to hang it up it would need to be from something very robust to hold the weight. I would imagine, as it is made from cast iron, if it was used in the garden and left outside in the rain that it would rust. This might even add to its vintage, rustic appeal, but mine is staying indoors. Inside, there is a circular holder for a single tea light. The door to open it is secured with an extremely strong spring. I needed someone else to hold this open for me whilst I inserted the lit tea light. I suppose you could pop an unlit tea light in yourself, and then use a long match to light it. I love how it casts a pattern of light through the apertures and windows. It looks very effective and pretty, with lots of details. It's a tactile, interesting object in its own right, and it would certainly add a touch of vintage glamour to a table set for an occasion. It's sturdy and heavy and won't get knocked over. I'm impressed by how well made it is and I'll be keeping this lovely lantern on show for many years to come.

Questa lanterna in ghisa, tranquillamente appendibile, posizionabile su un tavolo o sul davanzale, offre una scelta davvero tradizionale e di qualità. L’oggetto si fa subito notare per la qualità, la pesantezza e l’originalità. Anche la tintura in stile rustico si sposa perfettamente all’oggetto. La possibilità di inserirci, oltretutto una candela tradizionale è un must, essendo in ghisa il materiale é resistente al fuoco. Si può optare ovviamente anche per una candela elettrica. Unico consiglio pratico, visto che è molto pesante, attenzione ai ganci a cui si appende, che siano molto resistenti. Oggetto molto caratteristico, soprattutto sotto le feste natalizie.

Die Kirche ist sehr stimmungsvoll, wird aber auch heiß, wenn ein Teelicht darinsteht - Also bitte außerhalb der Griffhöhe von Kleinkindern stellen. Sie sieht sehr hochwertig aus und hat uns sehr an die Nikolaikirche in Hamburg erinnert. Meine autistische Tochter ist totaler Kirchenfan und hat sich daher besonders über den Kerzenhalter gefreut. Sie ist sehr schwer und robust, auch hier muss bitte wieder auf Griffhöhe von Kleinkindern geachtet werden und einen sicheren Stand des Objekt, auch, damit sich wirklich niemand bei einem versehentlich Herunterfallen verletzt. Ein wunderschönes, solides Dekorationselement, welches besonders hochwertig daher kommt und sicherlich Beschenkte sehr glücklich macht.

Très belle lanterne en fonte ! Je ne l'ai pas pesée, mais elle fait son poids. Prévoir un crochet solide si vous voulez la suspendre. J'y ai installé une bougie LED, mais on peut sans crainte y mettre une vraie bougie. Contrairement aux lanternes en bois, celle-ci ne risque pas de prendre feu. La taille est exactement celle que j'imaginais, et donc je suis très satisfait.
