I am not sure where they are made, but I would not use them. They left a terrible chemical smell in grill and taste to the food when I used them. It took about 5 -6 cooks to get that smell out of the grill.

Can thse be used with chimney starter and if so, how is it done and how many?

I use 1 in my chimney of insanity or 2 if I want to light up faster. Stays lit for about 10 minutes. Great product.

if I own a smoke daddy, do I still need to order these to light my kamado joe charcoal?

I like these better than charcoal. Doesn’t need any type of fuel to light up like charcoal does. Let me know how that works if you do try it.

How many do you use to start the Classic II?

One or two. I break them in half and usually put two to thee halves between the coals. They work well although I’ve never tried other brands.
