Good gadget
This is great. Picks up everthing - grit, mud - as well as leaving the floor very clean. Makes a dull job quick. No detergent required. (I use rainwater because of the hard tap water in my area.) Expensive, but a good investment. Chuck out all your old duster / spray mops, steam cleaners etc.

Dyson wash G1
My vinyl flooring still isn't clean. Grey tray keeps falling off.

Avoid. Poor design. Very disappointing.
Very disappointed. Returned after first use. We have a cordless and corded dyson vacuum and they have been reliable and perform well. Based on our experience with those products we decided to give the wash g1 a try since it was on sale despite the negative reviews. Have experienced similar issues to those negative reviews. The grey tray at the bottom of the cleaning head falls off far too easily (poor design). Leaked all fresh water tank contents over floor whilst charging for first time. May just be as it was new but the stand would also lift with the washer and you needed to hold the stand down to separate them. Shame as the cleaning performance was ok.

Very good
Whilst I was initially slightly disappointed in the functionality, I did soon understand the true purpose of this machine. It’s actually very clever how it’s been designed. Its not supposed to compete with other vac mops but rather offer a unique way of cleaning your floors. It’s been designed to simplify the process whilst offering excellent result. Ok so it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles like you get on tineco and dreame vac mops, lots of digital displays with heated drying and huge suction capabilities. Dyson have taken this in a different direction, it cleans very effectively with 2 rollers, the debris tray whilst being a little fiddly does prevent clogging up the machine. It has no suction through design but rather absorbs the water on the floor and then squeezes it out and pumps into the dirty tank. I do feel some improvements could be made, however this is a well through out machine and does a very good job. I would recommend.

Beats a mop hands down.
Fantastic Floor cleaner, makes mopping a breeze, we always hoover first to achieve good results, its a dyson so quality product, we live in a large 5 bed house with hard floor coverings to the entire ground floor and only use 50% battery, highly recommended

Cleans well
It cleans the floor well. Albeit cleaning the machine is a different story. Its not easy to remove all the parts to clean properly.

Makes cleaning hard floors easy
I've used this for a few weeks now, trying it out on vinyl and laminate flooring. What i like about this above a normal hard floor cleaner is that it also picks up the dry dirt so you don't have to go over once with a vacuum and then again with the washer. The dry dirt collects in a filter in the base of the cleaner - although the video shows dry dirt being disposed of, the reality is different. The filter does need to be tapped out over a bin and then put under a running tap due to the dirt being wet - but that is pretty obviously going to happen as the cleaner is dispensing water at varying degrees from the outset. That being said, I don't find that a problem at all. The battery life is good. I clean the kitchen, dining room and utility room in one go and then pop it back on it's stand to recharge for the next time. The design is well thought out. Separating the debris from the dirty water gives you a full clean rather than just moving dirt around. I find it very easy to use. For stubborn stains I use the max mode and let it sit on the stain for a little longer than the general clean time. The brushes rotate in different directions to lift the dirt - this works exceptionally well. Is it value for money? Well, I guess that depends on how many hard floors you have and how easy you want to make your life. If you only have a small section of hard flooring which is easily cleaned with a mop and bucket this could be an expensive buy. If you have a large area to clean and want the versatility this product offers with the build quality you'd expect from this brand - I think it is worth the money.

I had high expectations for the Dyson Wash G1, but this product falls short in many areas. It is bulky and incredibly heavy, making it difficult to maneuver, especially for longer cleaning sessions. The cleaning process itself is unnecessarily complicated, requiring three steps just to maintain the device. Unlike competitors like the Dreame H14, this does not have a dry function, which is a significant drawback for a premium product. On tiles, its performance is disappointing; it struggles to clean grout lines and doesn’t handle uneven surfaces well. The advertising makes it seem like a revolutionary cleaning device, but in reality, it is far from that. For the price, I expected much better functionality and user-friendliness. I will definitely replace this with the Dyson V15 Submarine—it seems like a far better choice! Not worth the investment—look elsewhere!
