I have tried lots of pickups. You want a list? The ones I can remember: sunrise, lrbaggs, K&K, Shadow, other fishman. Soundhole, magnetic, preamps non preamps, mic blends and piezos, mic modeling…I have been searching for the best acoustic sound for decades. I tour and travel and perform 150 shows a year mostly as a solo acoustic guy.When I got the Fishman infinity blend system installed - I freaked out. It kept the immediacy of the piezo but the blend of the mic was just enough to bring the air in and get rid of the quack. It is the most natural sounding pickup I have ever used and I’ve been performing live with an acoustic since 1993? Holy crap that’s a long time.I have it installed in two Gibson hummingbirds, J45 and a Martin J12 jumbo 12 string.The thing I love most about it is the natural dynamics you can get.Oh and if you’re doing live streams - it’s stereo. You can send piezo to one side and mic to another if you use a trs cable. This adds a fantastic stereo element to the live stream experience. I mean you can do the same live but that would just be annoying to any soundman but at home, works great.I will talk about this pickup for a long long time. This is the best sounding microphone + piezo saddle pickup setup period. I installed this into a Martin 000-15M acoustic guitar. Installation was fairly straightforward.Remove the strings.Sand the four locastions you'll be gluing to, and coat them with sanding sealer. No complaints on this so far had it installed by my local guitar luthier, (recommended) who even commented that it was better than he anticipated! I’m lovin it !

This system sounds amazing! The only issue I have is the controls and mic need better sticky pads. Acoustic Music in Salt Lake did the install, but I had to bring it back in because Vol/Tone controller detached and was loose inside the guitar. They reinstall all components with much better pads. Totally wasn’t the shop’s fault.So, your take away from this review should be a positive one. Just don’t use the provided sticky pads. Get some better adhesive pads for the install.

Had this installed for $45.00 on my Martin 0018 and it is awesome. Love the added base switch makes the guitar sound like a D45 over the amp. Versatile blending with the mic pickup that captures the warm tone of my guitar. Nice job Fishman!

very easy to install. Love the natural sound. Just purchased a second one for a future build. My only gripe is the trim control is a little hard to get to. need a very small screwdriver to get to.

I use this pickup with Huan Hernandez classical guitar. All expectations were met. Fairly flexible settings. Mic has a little bit darker sound that I was thinking. Piezo is quacky as usual. But mix piezo and mic is close enough to my wishes for recording and stage.
