I have to admit, i'm a little disappointed with this book. Perhaps I expected too much, but I was hoping that a book containing 450 recipes from around the world would actually be from around the world. Instead you're limited to only a few countries/regions/continents: Africa, China, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Middle East, Morocco, Italy, Spain, France, North America, Cajun & Creole, Caribbean and, Mexico. Many types of cuisine are left from this book which I feel deserved a place in the book. (In regards to North America, it appears to be namely famous dishes from a few selected cities or states, like Maine or Boston. Not quite as diverse as we know North American food and North American variants of recipes to actually be).But despite this personal criticism, it's a beautifully presented book with pictures (and step-by-step pictures) for every recipe. It's quite small in size, making it practical to actually use in a kitchen without getting in the way too much or taking up too much counter space, and the selection of recipes for each culture are wonderfully chosen, and not at all pretentious. It's perfect for home cooking, and I expect i'll enjoy working my way through the book. But if like me, you were looking for a book that could allow you to explore international food on a more detailed level, then this isn't the book. Individual books per culture or the internet are perhaps the best bet.

I got this as a gift for my uncle. I love it! It was exactly as I expected it to be and in great condition.

This is a great idea book with some many varied recipes it really is hard to choose where to start. The main nock on this book so far is that there are some recipes that just are not very yummy. We have cooked 20 out of the book so far with a success rate of about 15 good a 5 not very good at all. The second this is that sometimes in order to fit all directions on one page they seem to cut off short or make them confusing. So you have to read multiple times and guess about what they actually want you to do.

Great cookbook!

Lots of pictures, easy to follow cook book. But recipes seem to be lack of quality.

Received the book and the binding was separated from the book and falling apart. Didn't even want to look through it for fear the pages would fall out.
