We start using it around the last of March here in Tennessee along with zapl Algafix according to the directions. It stays perfectly clear during the winter months.The sludge comes to the top of the water for a while which you need to scoop off with a net. Then after that it will stay perfectly clear with if continue treatments according to the directions. I have had koi pounds for over 20 years and have tried many ways to keep the water clear and these two products are the best by far. Great stuff. Just be patient for a little while and you have a great pond. It also does not seem to bother my fish. **Q: Can I use this product in my 20 gallon home aquarium?** A: Yes, this product can be used in your aquarium or pond. **Q: This looks like the same item as pond-zyme only in liquid form, is this a correct assessment? i use the powdered pond-zyme but thinking of trying this** A: Same as powder but I like the liquid better because It mixes quickly into pond when applied close to your pumps.
