Let me start off by saying this is easily a 5 star item. Beautiful design, beautiful craftsmanship and old world looking. When we received it there was a very strong smell of perfume even emanating outside of the amazon overpack. We opened up the package and we're overwhelmed with the smell of a woman's perfume. Don't know why or how it can bathed inside of the package with perfume, but unfortunately it did. We have bathed it in 91% isopropyl alcohol and after a week of this submerging, it's still reek's very bad! My wife can't even bear to put it on. Going to try to get with the company and see if we can do some type of a swap cause, we really do love this necklace it is beautiful! I will update this review when this occurs. update... new one arrived- no fragrance 5 star

This just will not stay clasped. I am constantly having to fiddle with it. I like the concept, but I can’t wear it if I’m going to be moving, walking, shopping, etc.

Today, visiting with a dear friend whom I hadn't seen recently, I wore the Alchemy of England Dragons' Lure Necklace. I think it was literally the first thing she noticed when I arrived at her home! When I took it off - very easy with a magnetic clasp - she was amazed at the quality, and loved the necklace. In fact, she insisted on making photos of me wearing it. I'm not young, just Young At Heart, and this necklace certainly is NOT just for any certain age group! If you want compliments every time you wear it, you need this necklace. If anything, it'll be better than you expected when you looked at the photos. This is a treasure.

LOVE: Its more lightweight and comfortable than I expected! The magnet under the dragons jaw is strong enough to stay on to the tail underneath, but not so strong that you have to struggle to remove it. I love this for cosplay but is also elegant enough to get away with when I wear it with a button-up blouse and blazer for work and I always get compliments when I wear it. No regrets with this special piece, despite my complaint: ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: The cost of this is high for something that isn't Sterling Silver.

I have admired this particular necklace for years but couldn’t afford to fork out the cost which is typically around $100. I saw this one for $39 and figured it was too good to be true, but went ahead and ordered one. While the necklace is beautiful, and it is a close dupe, it is not real. It has the Alchemy logo but this can be achieved using recasting. I have many Alchemy products so I know the quality in pewter they use. I do not believe this to be pewter. So just be wary. I see some pictures in reviews here that do appear to be real, but mine is definitely not. Update I recently bought the REAL ALCHEMY NECKLACE. Here is a comparison. Fake on the left, genuine on the right. Buyer beware.

Every single time I wear this choker out, I get multiple compliments. The added bonus is when I point out that it's attached via magnet, instead of clasp or being constricted around your neck. Not everyone is into that apparently (lol). It can easily adjust to most every neck size because of its construction. I was a little put off by price initially, but not after wearing it out a few times. I even get more comments about this piece than I do about my 2 large finger rings I wear on my left hand. That's actually saying something too. I really enjoy this piece!!!
