Overall this is a pretty decent model. Generally well made with great attention to detail. It has a few more plastic parts to it than I'd like, though. They're very thin pieces of plastic as well, so they're liable to bend or snap off. The overall construction is not quite as solid either. The wings aren't firmly connected to the fuselage. Normally there would be a screw underneath to fasten the two together, but with this model the place where a screw would normally go is instead where you insert the stand. So really, it's being held together by little more than gravity. I'm not particularly keen on that. I'll keep the model all the same, it's just a little disappointing to pay this much when the quality doesn't match up to similarly priced manufacturers like Oxford Aviation (their models are almost entirely die cast, just as well detailed, and their stands have a slight tilt to them to give the model a more dynamic appearance rather than level flight).

Use this product for display just brill

A bargain, well made and authentic to the original squadron markings. The best fighter that has ever existed.

I am happy with the model the Spitfire will go with the rest of the collection.

This was bought as a gift for my father. He is very happy with it apart from a few breakages that he fixed with a drop of glue. The packaging isn't sufficient enough to protect the product efficiently.
