The Marshall ORI5C Origin 5W 1x8 Valve Combo Amp is designed to be one of their ''most expressive'' amps available, offering a single channel vintage-style construction with incredible transparency and responsiveness. Its single 8'' Celestion speaker delivers 5 watts of pure Marshall tone, driven by ECC83 (12AX7) preamp and EL84 power valves to produce that classic ''British'' tonal character and rich harmonic content. The ORI5C Origin Amp takes the very essence of what made the Marshall brand so popular, and combines it with the latest modern technology to create the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary performance.

Woooow!
Ok, so I've seen a few iffy reviews for this amp, but I don't know, maybe they got a duff one or something, cuz this thing is loud, proud and sings like nothing else this size. And don't be fooled by its low wattage, even at low output mode (around 0.5 watts) it's still loud when fully cranked, maybe a touch too loud for bedroom practice, I was very concerned about annoying the neighbors even on this setting. Has a great sound to it, classic British rock..whack a tube screamer in front of this and golly!! The fx loop is a really nice touch, usually left out on these smaller amps, but does the job real nice. And the Marshall footswitch for the fx loop and the boost is also a really nice touch and very well made. The 8 inch speaker does the job well but I'm tempted to run this into a 12 inch Celeston Green Back (16 ohm) at some point, just to blow the cobwebs away. All in all a very worth while purchased

This is not a high gain amp
Very fast delivery , Classic looking amp ,plexi tones aplenty , great for ac/dc fans , zeppelin and sounds good when playing any classic rock . You get a foot switch too . It does get a bit muddy when you turn up the volume on the 5 watt setting , but I’ve found it gets better the longer you leave it on . I use my les paul through it and it sounds great . There are plenty of reviews on YouTube, most complain about the 8” speaker being sub par , but I like the way it sounds and we’re all different in our tastes . You can connect an external cabinet to it too for a bigger sound . If you like the early 70s Marshall sound then this is for you , but remember this is not a high gain amp , if you like metal then just add a distortion pedal.

Sadly doesn't sound anywhere near as good as it looks!
Being a huge Marshall fan I would have loved to be able to write how fantastic this amp is; but the sad truth is I just couldn't wait to turn it off, box it back up and return it.I suspect it's the 8" speaker, and the larger Origins are probably fine, but this sounded awful, with a boxy, nasal quality that just wasn't pleasant. That said, I've played Orange Micro Terrors through their own 8" cab and that sounded brilliant! My wife even came into the room and asked what the hell I had done to my amp (thinking I was still playing through my Blues Cube Stage) because the tone was so bad.I know others disagree with me, and this amp is going for a great price at the moment, but I'd advise you to try one before ordering to make sure it's what you want.
