iodine for home brewing
I have used BTF iodine to sanitize my home brewing equipment.I tasted beer with a little bit of residual chlorine in fermenter/bottling line ONCE; beer should not smell and taste like a band aid. Iodine is more forgiving of an incomplete rinse.Iodine is actually a better sanitizer but it takes a little longer (5 minutes for chlorine and 10 for iodine) and you can get yellow-orange stains if you get the concentrate on yourself or your clothing.
