Medium is much better for 15 inch grill than what was included
I previously gave my 15 inch grill a one star because the flame was so small I compared it to cooking over a Bic lighter. And it blew out at the slightest breeze. Nevertheless, I suffered though using this and would cook a few hamburgers (took half an hour or more to get to med rare) a summer. Then it stopped working altogether - couldn't get it to light at all - and the internet said to replace the regulator. What do you know? Amazon has four different types of regulator for this extra low, low, medium, and high output. They all look the same. Knowing Magma makes some much larger grills I took a risk and ordered the medium. All I can say is - WOW! What a difference! Now it is like cooking on a normal grill! I can even adjust the flame below full on. And it doesn't blow out. Mine must have originally shipped with an extra low output regulator. You shouldn't have to buy a better regulator, but if you do, it will work great. The parts look identical and the imprinted numbers all look the same.

HALF the price of Worst Marine.
My old one is all clogged up, probably from corrosion from being immersed in a seat locker out in the cockpit for a year or so. Funny how that happens. I went to everyone's favorite yacht chandler and the sticker shock sent me to amazon. This is a good price and well worth the two days it took for me to get it.

Works well.
This control valve is just right for my old Magma grill and it works great. I purchased the Medium pressure control valve as i had heard that the low pressure valves would go out. This medium pressure valve will adjust from high to low and stays lit. One word of caution is that this valve will not fit into the old style Turbo Venturi Tubes so you have to buy the new tube as well.

Poor quality
I only used this thing about three times and the knob stopped working. If I push the knob down and hold it I can light the grill, but as soon as I let go of the knob there's no more gas. No matter how I twist or turn or push on this thing I can't get it to stay down in the on position.

Good for tropical weather. Proper heat
Tried high flame and burned the meat regardless of setting. Tried low and not enough heat to cook in a proper time. This medium is perfect.
