They are growing… awaiting blooms!

Start properly and they grow easily.
I found they need to be surface sown with a heat mat and a humidity dome (cover/lid). If you keep seeds moist they have a good germination rate. Once started they grow great. Mine are just starting to bloom. They are a slightly paler yellow then the picture.

No growth 40 days after planting
I always do seedling pots for these as I have for last three years. After 40 days these seedlings did not even try to grow. Not sure if just a bad batch or what but super disappointed !

Great Result
Mixed these in with the traditional orange tithonia and also some reds. Had a really good result down an entire fence line. Nice mix of color and attracts a lot of butterflies and honey bees

poor germination but I if I get one plant I'm set for life
Out of 25 seeds I will be lucky to get 4 plants. Most did not germinate. But the good news is if one plant grows I will have millions of seeds. According to the price I paid I will be able to make millions. Plus no one sells the yellow torch Mexican sunflower in this area.
