Could I roast a 5.5 pound chicken and veggies in the 13 inch?

Im thinking no.. the pans "outside" measurement is 13"... the interior is smaller... check all measurements for your needs... Good luck!

Would a bread pan fit into it?

I have a bread pan that is 9 1/2" 5 1/2" X 2 1/2 deep and it does fit in the roaster, but the lid does not fit on to close all the way. I hope this helps it is a great pan that cleans up easily.

my oven is 17"x12.5"x8". Will the 16" version fit with the lid ON?
