I will start by saying how much I love this coconut oil! I’ve been using it for the last 15 years for both skin and hair care. If you love the smell of coconut this is for you. I want to point out something that many folks seem to be unaware of. Yes, this coconut oil will most likely arrive in its sold state. This is COMPLETELY NORMAL, and not defective, so bear this in mind before leaving a bad review on an amazing product. Just like, say, butter for example, if you take it out of the refrigerator it’s going to be solidified; leave it at room temperature for a bit, and it’ll soften. It’s the same with pure coconut oil.

I love this coconut oil products. It’s so hard to open up. Now I did this, and I don’t advise any customers to do the same, but the only way to open and use it effectively is to try and use a very sharp kitchen knife. Use a old t shirt and lay the bottle on the floor so that the product does not leak out, carefully and very gently, firmly press and cut across right below the handle, and you will have open the container. Cover with heavy duty aluminum foil so that it doesn’t leak out all over the place. This way, I'm able to get great use out of this, and it doesn’t dry my skin out. The leftover portion, I put in an old empty cleaned out jar of Vaseline and put the remainder of product inside. Done and done!😊

Smells and works amazing

This coconut oil is horrible. I was really hoping to use this oil on my hair as a part of my daily hair care regimen but it just didn’t work for me. I know that coconut oil solidifies in cold temperatures but I melted the bottle in a pot of hot water and then I began applying the melted oil to my hair and as I was applying it to my hair the oil started to solidify on my hair making my hair very hard and stiff!!! I’ve NEVER had coconut oil do this to me before. I usually purchase my unrefined coconut oil at my local grocery store and wanted to give this one a try. Normally if you can scoop out the hard parts of the coconut oil and rub it in your hands it will stay melted. But this stuff is just horrible! And smells like burnt coffee. I actually had to rinse the oil out of my hair before going to work because it smelled so bad!

Great for skin and hair, but needs to be in a different type of container for ease of use, since if it's cold out you have to heat it up because it coagulates and you can't get it out of the container

I love to use this on my ice cream with chocolate. Good coconut flavor.

Everyone has their preferences for coconut oil, for me this company produces an excellent and yummy oil. I love the taste and the scent, as does my hubby. I've tried other brands and so far, this one pleases my palate the most, not to mention easy on my budget. Love, love, LOVE this product. As the many reviews has stated coconut oil has multi-uses. I prefer going natural/holistic for everything and coconut oil is part of my daily health and beauty regimine, as well as for my four-legged companions. Amazon has several books on the many uses and natural health benefits of this wonderful oil. I highly recommend looking into its benefits. I put a teaspoon in my coffee daily, a yummy way to start my day; add to pet food for its anti-microbial and skin and hair benefits (for me too); natural sunscreen; and the list goes on. I trust the opinion of those whom have empirical experiences and wisdom about this oil. The Asian's and Polynesian's have been using coconuts for beauty, health and healing for centuries, their wisdom is certainly working for me and my friends.

I'm disappointed because each bottle is just shy of 1 liter which is NOT what I expected. I thought I read each bottle was 33oz because that was exactly what was called for in a herbal recipe I was making. Otherwise, I am very familiar with this brand's oil from living in India for a short time. I love the coconut smell, I know it's pure because it solidifies in my cool bathroom. I use this oil topically on my skin after bathing, I love that smooth, moisturized feeling I have in the morning, not too oily and my skin just looks plump not dry. I plan on using it a good deal during the winter here in the US when I tend to get a little extra dry due to having the heat on during the winter months, I will also be using it for my hair. I would definitely consider buying more for kitchen use because this oil is also great for cooking use.

Wasn't too impressed that the product was only 6months from its expiration date.
