trackpoint cover
somehow the old cover on the old dell laptop trackpoint pointer disappeared. Found these here on amazon and they work fine. Buy yourself a few older dells and convert to linux...

They fit but must pay attention to size before ordering.
Perfect fit to my older Dell Precision laptops. Installed on M4800 and 7530 that have the smaller molded square hole for the trackpoint stick. When I measured the stick with calipers it was around 2.9 mm and the description states 3mm, the fit is not loose.

Worked great on HP EliteBook 840 G5
I could not find a pointing stick pad replacement for an HP EliteBook 840 G5. All the ones advertised as being compatible on Amazon would not work. I finally got out some calipers to do some measurements and then looked based on size and found this. Even though it was advertised as being for Dell, it works well on the HP.

Perfect replacement
The original trackpoint cap had become loose from prior keyboard cleanings and didn't realize it was gone after a vacuuming. Ordered this batch online, has a snug fit, perfect replacement.

Looking at the picture, it looks like you get 3 total, but the description shows 2x. Just a caution of you were wanting 3 pieces.

Keine Probleme bei der Montage an einem DELL E6520.Ich setze öfter ältere Laptops instand und bin sehr zufrieden mit der Qualität.Leider kam das Paket aus dem fernen Osten und daher dauerte der Versand etwas länger. Positiv ist aber anzumerken, dass der Händler trotz der kleinen Paketgröße eine Trackingnummer mitliefert.Produkt zu 100% wie angegeben.
