Kövulfix 90g universal leather, glue adhesive.

This is an easy glue to use as it does not need mixing with hardener, and is very effective when you make one or two thin layers that you leave until touch dry (about 10 minutes) before bringing the 2 surfaces into contact. However, they stick instantly int he first position so tricky to get something glued when it is inserted into gap. I used it to repair horse hoof boots which get tough use, as well as lots of pressure/pulling on the join that was repaired, through mud and water as well at times, and the repair has held up - even though other parts of the boot have come apart!

After reading some of the reviews I was'nt certain this glue would be any good........So when it arrived I read the box and then tested it on 2 bits of plastic...... The instructions do say..... Put the glue on both surfaces...... But as a test I only applied it to 1......... And then left it face up to start drying.......Why ?..........Because you need to wait until it's had time to go tacky.......As in, like touching the sticky side of Sellotape...... If the glue is still wet and comes off onto your finger wait a little longer......It's all in the timing..........When it's not quite dry but still tacky that's when you put the 2 surfaces together.......And push.........Or put some weight on the parts if possible..... If in doubt....Try it out on something else first......... After I'd worked out how long to leave it to go tacky..... I used it to stick my car door trim back on which fits along the top of the door and used some masking tape to hold it up...... And the next morning.......Bingo.......Stuck really well....... 1 other tip.........You can build it up if you want a slightly higher line of glue between 2 surfaces..........Just do 1 worm like line of glue.....Give it 10 - 15 mins....Then gently drop another line on the top...... 1 did this 4 times and built up a row of glue 3mm high......Let it all go tacky and thumped the 2 surfaces together with my hand.......

I bought this to stick leather toe patches on the outside of my daughter's pointe ballet shoes. I followed the instructions closely. The adhesive has done a really ggod job. The whole patch has stuck down right to the edge and has survived a few ballet lessons. It is interesting to note that the instructions state that the amount of pressure given to the join is more important than the amount of time pressure is applied. They recommend using a hammer to increase pressure. I was able to do this with pointe shoes but it may not be possible for all applications. Overall I'm impressed and satisfied with the performance of this adhesive.

I’ve nearly used a whole tube for shoes and general repairs to leather things like straps and belts which seem to be made of laminated leather these days. It takes time to bond fully but I have saved my favourite riding boots from the bin twice now. I am 14 stone and massacre even tough boots in under two years. The soles peel away and nothing holds them on for long. Forget gorilla glues etc. This stuff if you follow the rules and keep the parts well clamped for a few days is able to survive wet and aggressive conditions without letting go. Deeply impressed. I bought it on Amazon review recommendations which have been particularly accurate for this product. Yes is stinks of highly volatile solvent so not in confined spaces folks.

Worked great on one pair of shoes - cleaned/clamped - no issues. Second pair followed the same process, but this time the glue didn't hold. So a 50% success rate for me.

Used this to reaffix a loose car door seal. It has worked, and for that I am pleased, however the job wasnt perfect because I didn't let the two adhesions of glue dry enough before I joined the rubber to the door trim. One helpful reviewer described the feeling as "touching the sticky side of sellotape" which was great, but I must have put on a little too much. The two sides opened up a few mm on one section like stretchy toffee after I joined them together, but apart from that the seal has stayed in place. It takes a bit of skill and judgement to get right, but there's no doubt it works.

Used this product to repair a pair of split Hunter neoprene/rubber wellies. Easy to apply but with caution as quite runny, apply to both clean surfaces and allow to become touch dry before squeezing together. I applied clamps and weight for 24 hrs and worked a treat. Very pleased with results and much cheaper than a shop repair

-Update- Auch den Klettverschluss meiner Radschuhe (die Klettfläche hatte sich vom eigentlichen Riemen gelöst) konnte ich erfolgreich kleben, nach einer Nacht in zwei Leimpressen war der Gurt wieder wie neu, zugfest und dennoch elastisch - Top! :) _____________________________________ Das erratische Verhalten der Amazon-Redaktionen und auch das seltsame Verschwinden vieler meiner, durchaus positiven, Rezensionen haben mich veranlaßt, keine Rezis mehr zu veröffentlichen und meinen Vine-Status zu kündigen. Diesen ausgezeichneten Kleber würde ich im Sinne positiver Reparatur-Kultur aber gerne empfehlen :) 10 Euro für eine Tube Klebstoff? Nun ja - hier aber durchaus angemessen: Ich habe ein schönes Paar Schuhe im Brogue-Stil, mit einer angeklebten weißen Sneaker-Sohle: Der perfekte Schuh für den Arbeitsalltag, bequem und trotzdem ausreichend stylish und formell. Leider sind diese nicht mehr in England gefertigt, sondern in Portugal, was sich unmittelbar in der Qualität niederschlägt: Der schöne Cognacfarbene Braunton ist zu einem schlichten Mittelbraun geworden und die Sohle löste sich an beiden Schuhe vorne ab, rechts sogar bis zur Mitte, ohne große "Unfälle". Den aufwendigen Vorgang, diese nach England zurückzuschicken und zu tauschen, nur um dann etwas später mit ähnlichem Ergebnis dazustehen, wollte ich mir sparen. Da ich vor Jahren bereits einen reichlich misslungenen Versuch mit Pattex hinter mich gebracht hatte, nun also die "professionelle" Lösung mit Kövulfix. Die Lieferung dauerte überraschend mehrere Tage. Was auch nicht half, war, daß der DHL-Paketbote offenbar auch gar keine Lust hatte, etwas zuzustellen - stattdessen bekam ich (nochmal 3 Tage nach der "Geliefert" Statusmeldung hier...) eine Karte im Umschlag(!!), mit der ich dann in einer Paketstation mein Päckchen (in der kurzen, verbliebenen Zeit) auslösen durfte - angesichts des DHL Paketshops 100m die Straße hinauf, etwas überraschend - zumal die Station am anderen Ende der Stadt ist und bspw fußläufig kaum noch erreichbar, ohne Rucksack und Marschverpflegung... Aber endlich: Beide Seiten (also Sohle und Oberleder, bzw Fußbett) mit Glasreiniger penibel entfettet und gesäubert (das empfohlene Anschleifen habe ich mir mal gespart), Kövulfix aufgetragen (sieht übrigens aus und riecht durchaus wie ein farbloses Pattex und wird auch ganz ähnlich verarbeitet), beide Seiten mit einem Abstandshölzchen getrennt abgelüftet, nach rd. 20 Minuten innen nochmal eine dünne Schicht aufgetragen und gepresst: Angezogen und jeweils auf einem Bein gestanden für rd. 1 Minute ;) Anschließend je einen Schuhspanner hinein, Küchentuch aufgelegt und eine kräftige Leimzwinge angebracht: So habe ich beide Schuhe eine Nacht durchtrocknen lassen. Der nächste Tag: Innen 'duftete' das Lösungsmittel durchaus noch etwas durch, das gab sich aber bald. Und nach inzwischen 10 Tagen darf ich bestätigen, daß die Verklebung nicht nur anstandslos hält, sondern auch den Alltagsbetrieb einwandfrei mitgemacht hat :) Chapeau Kövulfix! Fazit: Wie bei allen 'technischen' Verklebungen sollte man/frau sich Zeit nehmen und sorgfältig arbeiten - dann ist das Ergebnis aber perfekt und macht auch dem Schuster durchaus Konkurrenz (Sorry... ;) Von mir eine Empfehlung!

Por fin un adhesivo que cumple, lo utilice para pegar la base de una bota de patinaje artístico, debe aguantar el peso no solo de la suela sino que también la plantilla, ruedas, tornillería, etc. Lo que viene siendo unos 2 kilos más la fuerza que ejerces al lanzar la pierna. Llegó rápido y cumple perfectamente con lo prometido. Totalmente recomendable siempre cumpliendo con las instrucciones del fabricamente.
