arrived open and leaking
This item arrived already opened and leaking. I cannot be sure if it is safe, so I have to throw it out. photo is of the bubble wrap with dulce de leche all over it.

Tasty dulce de leche
It's very thick and creamy and reminds me of the cajeta my family used to buy. It's a bit pricy but not too bad and does taste good. Also, the bottle is a decent size of dulce de leche. I recommend it. Five stars on the taste; the four stars are for the value of it. I'd consider repurchasing it, for sure!

Pricey but worth it for alfajores
This was great for making alfajores. It is the right consistency where it won't ooze out the sides of the cookie as it sits. I used a piping bag to fill them, and this piped very well. And it tastes great. The jar was smaller than I expected, so it is a little pricey for the amount you get. I used a different brand of dulce de leches the last time I made the cookies and it was too thin. So this not oozing made it worth that bit of extra cost.
