I trust this brand. They have a good selection of hard to find spices at reasonable prices. They also give you a choice on the amount you want to buy so you can buy a smaller amount to try a new spice. It can be confusing and overwhelming with all the choices out there, but The Spice Way has been a consistently good quality product. If you haven't tried Sumac, I recommend it. It has a slightly tart note and will add an interesting dimension to your dish. It reminds me of hibiscus that is used so often in herbal teas, but it's different and better.

Love Sumac! Great product, perfect flavor. I sprinkle this on almost everything - salads, stews, meat, eggs. Mix it into yogurt for extra tanginess.

I bought this product because I wanted to have a lesser need for dependency on sodium. It was nice to find out that this has zero sodium in it Obviously one's taste buds become addicted to whatever profile you feed them and in this case mine had a high salinity profile. When I tasted the sumac for the first time those two did not meet. That's not a bad thing that's just a thing. Recently in the last 4 months I have converted to whole food plant-based (wfpb) for health reasons. Keeping blood pressure at a lower marker has a lot to do with salinity and stress. It takes a little bit for your taste buds to adapt into any change so there's that and if you're coming from a fast food crunchy fries type of world it's going to be a pretty stark change. That's part of the process and you may have to add a little more sumac and I don't necessarily know if that is hurtful in other areas of a body to add more sumac or not so do your due diligence. It seems that sumac has a little more moisture content or pliability then the crystalline perspective of salt so be of note. The packaging was really nice and the product was super fresh. We migrated some of the contents of the package into a shaker and then resealed the one-sided content view panel, mylar bag. We would buy from this company again. Hope this helps and blessings to all.
