It is heavy duty and should last a long time. I like the latches too for security. They were hard to figure out at first but I got it now with no problems. This case reminds me of a trunk or a footlocker. I wish the lid did not come off the hinges but that makes it portable and easily accessible especially for DJ's. It is easy to reattach however but it can be tricky to line up in the front when you close it but it's not a real problem and it is easily fixed. I like how the case is padded and you can fit a lot of records in here and sort them any way you want to. I wish the handle was a little bigger and moved back a little more from its fixed position but it is manageable I just have small hands and want a better grip for the heavy weight of the case when you carry it.
