First of all, this fit PERFECTLY over the top and honestly I only eyeballed the dimensions of my desk before deciding which size to buy. There was no edge that hung over, everything laid down seamlessly. I secured it with some mounting tape so it wouldn’t budge. The surface is very smooth and the color is vibrant. It is cushy on top but not to the point you can’t write on it. It can be wiped down easily.
