New life for old PCI boards!
I used this product to install 2 old Audiophile 2496 PCI cards in my Windows 10 Dell that has only PCI express. Once I worked out how to physically install this board and the sound cards ( by making some customised brackets that pick up on the boards metal rails), I plugged it in and everything just worked, my old sound cards appeared in the devices list and I can select them in Cakewalk X1. Brilliant.

Garbage
The position of the SATA power connector makes it impossible to actually put an average-sized PCI card in either of the slots, even with an angled power connector (as shown in the pic).I guess if you have a PCI card that's no longer than the end of the slot it would probably work but the use case for a PCI bridge in 2024 is that the PCI device is in some way proprietary or can't be cheaply replaced by a newer PCI-e version so this seems less likely to be the case. There are other similar adapters that don't have this design flaw so I'd suggest shopping for a different one.

It works but has problematic position of power connector
The GOOD:- it solved my problem. It works with SoundBlaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty.The BAD:- the position of SATA power connector is horrible. I had to trim the connector on cable to make it fit,- direction of PCI slot is not marked, so some users could inadvertently reverse the PCI card,- makers used USB connector for PCI-E to PCI board connection, but it is not based on USB protocol, so DO NOT try to connect any USB devices.

Good for sound cards and network cards, not GPUs
Tried it with a sandwich of FX5200 PCI and Audigy2. The FX5200 is being detected but upon installation of the driver, the system locked.Still it is a great solution for using old hardware in a system with only PCIe
