ESPECIALLY NOT FROM THIS SELLER.I bought this to replace my JBL flip 4 (which is a great speaker that I used for about three years before the battery failed on me). I wanted to replace it with something that would last longer. I was tempted by the BOSE but offended by the price. So I decided on this speaker.Just about right after the 30 day return policy expired, the battery stopped holding a charge. I reached out to the seller to ask for a replacement battery (which comes separate from the unit and is plugged in by the buyer). I was told, "just keep it plugged in when you are not using it. It will not affect the battery life."Well, the problem is the battery DOES NOT HOLD A CHARGE. If I wanted something that plugged in the wall, I would not have ordered this "portable" unit.Bottom line, this is not a value for the money. Although it sounds good, the battery is useless. The seller is not helpful at all.I am actually editing this to add: It also randomly disconnects from my device, even IN THE MIDDLE OF A SONG. Sometimes, it says it's *CONNECTED* but no sound will play through it. Treble is also decent. Where the device shines is it’s portability and ruggedness. A little bit disappointing though in sound quality but an okay outside unit as the sound is clear and volume is good and remains relatively free of distortion until it is pushed to the maximum levels. Have not tried the stereo capability of unit but I am thinking you can get better sound with speakers of more normal speaker types (though these won’t have the portability and toughness and battery driven capability.) In other words if you are getting the VG3 for portability, toughness and resistance to water - you’re getting the right system.
