Works great for a inexpensive garage stereo system
Update 3/29/26 I still live this thing . It is the perfect complement to my garage system. It actually SOUNDS GOOD. In my previous comment I complain about my main kicker speakers but I now realize they just needed something to compliment the bottom end. The system is a hole sounds actually quite impressive.. I bought this with absolutely no expectations whatsoever except expecting that they may return it because I might hate it. The opposite is true. I've only used it for a couple days but I think I really like it. I purchased this knowing it was inexpensive. This is for a small system in my garage where the summertime heat and humidity and winter time cold would be problematic for a higher end subwoofer with a cabinet probably made out of an MDF material. So I bought something I wouldn't really have to care about for this application To my surprise the fit and finish is quite good for what is supposed to be more of an industrial use product. So far I am pleased with the sound quality. Like I said this is just a cheap garage system I've thrown together to Make my shop a little more entertaining. I have a paired with a couple kicker outdoor speakers ( which honestly sound very terrible ....). I think if I replace the kickers the whole system will sound very good....... Very good for a garage..

Rockville stepped up and solved my sub pole issue so Now this is a Great Deal for the money !
Update to sub pole issue (see initial review below). Rockville is sending me a replacement Gaspole-B M20 that works with the Titan Slim D8. Apparently, I had the older model. Therefore, I am amending my review to a 5 star review. I already said the D8 sounded good and I used it for another day with further mixer EQ (Behringer Flow 8) and was further sold on what you could do with this compact subwoofer. For, its size, with proper eq, it filled my 1,970 square foot basement without clipping. No chest pounding bass, but it was loud enough with a tight bass that complimented my QSC CP 12 speakers perfectly. So, if you want something easy to use and can adjust EQ from a mixer (no bells or whistles on this Sub but great tight sound), I highly recommend it. I like it so much I bought a second Titan Slim D8 and will put them to work at a company Christmas Party. Thanks for doing the right thing Rockville. OLD REVIEW I received my Rockville Titan Slim D8 and noted it was packed extremely well. The dual 8 subwoofer only has one handle but that isn't a big drawback. I then plugged the subwoofer in to test it out and run some decibel testing (DBA and DBC) to see how loud it was. Used QSC CP 12 Top Speaker in Dance Mode with subwoofer out so the QSC bass would not overwhelm the Titan Slim D8. The Titan Slim D8 sounded pretty good and hit over 100 decibels in the DBA Test and around 120 decibels in the DBC Test. AND THEN I attempted to add subwoofer poles and noted neither my Rockville air assist 35mm nor the air assist M20 worked with the pole cup. I tried a couple other sub poles I had, and they didn't work either. The pole holder was too wide and shallow for the 35mm pole and the M20 was to fat and wouldn't thread into the cup threads. The subs advertise you can use either a 35mm or the M20 for your sub pole. I contacted Rockville who indicated a different model pole would work but now I would have to shell out more money and the pole recommended did not have air assist. So close to being a great deal but now I will need to change out the cups (available on Amazon) myself so I can at least use my M20 air assist pole for the Top Speaker.

Heavy Hitters!
Just like Dusty, I paired this with my little Alto Busker, along with two little speaker-poles, that screw together for double the length, much better than any adjustable version with plastic knobs. The sub is GOOD. Like REALLY good, and verified to actually be 400 Watts too on as it draws that much during hard hits from my power station. Specs say it goes down to 30 Hertz, and I can attest that it moves a LOT of air and smoothly reproduces low frequencies way down low, without any boomy resonant frequencies to muddy the sound. These dual eights are TIGHT and PUNCHY, to say the least. Cabinet construction is plywood, with a very nice truck-bed-type rhino-lining coating. I removed the grill (four nice threaded bolts) and both drivers to inspect the quality. The drivers were quite impressive! The magnets are nearly as big as the cones, and weigh a lot, 50 oz magnets, I believe. There is no adjustment for crossover frequency, but it does sound like itโs set at about 80Hz, and I just crank it all the way up. I watch the input level LED and it does not clip until waaay past where I think it should. Iโm constantly super-impressed with the performance of this little (50 lbs) guy. I do wish it had another handle though. If using only the one integrated handle on the back, the unit tips forward as I lift it and scrapes the bottom-front on the groundโฆ. Once I realized this, itโs easy to avoid, but that one handle makes it awkward to carry. Also, the description says it has dual-use speaker-pole-cups, but I found them only to be compatible with the MN20 threaded types. My 1-3/8-inch (35mm or 1.375โ) poles were just loose and didnโt work, so I bought the M20 threaded poles and they work wonderfully, so solid and secure. It only consumes about 30 watts at idle, up to about 40-50 dB, so just chillin with that low-end bumping, lasts 11+ hours on my modest little power-station of 350 Watt-Hours. Itโs so solid that it provides such a sturdy base for my cute little Alto Busker Speaker, and theyโre nearly the same width, so it looks great. (The Boze S1+ Pro is dang near exactly the same width, so it looks slightly more better with this sub) I appreciate both XLR and RCA inputs, as botht

Great little sub for the money!
I've been a mobile DJ playing primarily weddings for 35 years. I have been in the market for a small footprint sub to add to my setup for quite a while. Space is at a premium in my truck, so I wasn't interested in a 15" or 18" sub. This Rockville TITAN SLIM D8 did the trick! Small enough to put under a table. In fact, I was so impressed I bought another one and will use them flat on the ground as bases for my tops. For $300 you will love this little sub! It's not chest thumping bass, but it will fill out the low end very nicely.

When playing loud like any other PA equipment keep the red clip light at a minimum. LOL
This little sub is awesome. I can't wait to try it outside. I have purchased 2 of these and I got the second one in yesterday. I connected each one under a Alpha Theta Wave Eight and wow! You can definitely fell the bass.I was very impressed! If you need easy to carry and a small footprint to setup is i think you should take a look at these. If you need more bass get another one and stack it. I don't think you will be disappointed unless you are doing a larger gig with over 100 people. I will be using these in my car wash parking lot and i think the with do a great job. And they will be playing over traffic, vacuum cleaners and 5 bays of washing cars and 1 automatic wash bay. I will update the review if it disappoints me or if I need a couple more subs. I think $299 a peace is a pretty fair deal for as good as the sound! Look for a coupon and you can get them for $270. Great sound and great value!

Great Sound
I have used these speakers twice and VERY impressed with the quality of sound, compact and affordable and that's what I was looking for. The air space for the size is equivalent to 1 12inch sub, the low end is AMAZING for its size and would DEFINITELY give higher priced speakers 3 or 4 times its size a run for its money, we'll done Rockville, we'll done. Professional DJ of 37 years.

Does not have dual handles
For the size this is a really nice subwoofer, well built, good sound, I would have given it five stars, but it says it has dual handles, it does not....It has one handle on one side only....Which means it's awkward to carry.....Very misleading advertising....
