This book is like a portal into the mind of all the douche bags that read it and live by it. You know that one manager you have who always gives you positive reinforcement? The one who always has a carrot on a stick in front of your face to get you to work harder, but no matter how well you do or how qualified you are, you never actually get any part of the carrot? That guy read this book. If you want to learn to be just like that Jack turd, this is the perfect book to read. Now, the writing itself is not the problem. The interpretation is the problem. I wish the author had been less vague with implementation. It seems like anyone who reads this book just learns how to abuse employees.

This book really helps u develop

The author compiled many different management practices and leadership concepts to help Multi-Unit Leaders develop a program to support an under-serving group of professionals. Even though there are 7 levels of development simplified, I was expecting an integrated tool to help implement his program. Also, it would be good to have some Leading practices and KPI that are key to driving business results.

If you are in the QSR industry and not familiar with Jim Sullivan's work, you are in for a treat! I have 5 small QSR's and was in the process of hiring a consultant. After reading this book I decided against the expensive consultant. I am in the process of using Mr. Sullivan's book and the corresponding DVD to grow my practices and procedures. His work is consise, easy to read and fun!

A MUST READ! Insight, great principles for multi-unit managers!

This book has proven to be an invaluable resource. I have a staff of Multi-unit Managers that I work with and this has given me a much better understanding of what their life is like. The author and his team spent two years reseraching the day-to-day life of multi-unit Managers and it certainly paid off in this excellent book.
