A Silent Voice (Japanese Animated, English Subtitles, NTSC All Region)

This is a wonderful film! I had been searching high and low for and I was finally able to obtain it! Buyers should note however this is in Japanese with English Subtitles. I was able to watch this on VLC and it worked just fine. This is a wonderful film that touches on hearing impairment, bullying, and attempted sucide, yet the story is very meaningful and presented well. Also, the art and music are both spot on! When the dvd arrived the case was a bit cracked but thats an easy fix. Thanks!

This movie is in the top ten of my favorite movies. I never would have thought a Anime movie could get so high on my list of movies as it is drawings, but this story is captivating. It is a problem that English caption does not align up with exact words all the time, but "oh, well." This a must watch, but keep in mind the content is for adults only or parents should watch with their preteens and teens, due to content.

My limited edition copy of A Silent Voice Blue Ray came in the mail yesterday and I love it! I was expecting the outer cardboard box case to be thin and flimsy and the movie pamphlet to be made of cheap paper but I was pleasantly surprised. The cardboard is thick and the pamphlet has a hard, good quality (and beautiful) cover. A Silent Voice is one of my favorite films of all time and I wanted to have a nice physical copy of the movie that I could cherish forever. This set was worth every penny!

Purchased as a gift, my friend loved it! This movie is such a beautiful movie. It’s soo sad and true how people in this world do good and bad. We should all see this and see what goes around comes around! Be nice to everyone!

This movie is a great redemption story. It has some variation from the books, but it could not fit in all the details with the time constraints. Still done very well.

Well packaged, works great and gave no problems at all. Set up was easy. I love this movie so much. It's a down to earth story about a change of heart and writing wrongs.

Just finished watching the movie A Silent Voice. It’s an anime, a real tear jerker, not a tragedy, and remains PG through out. It’s about the emotional wounds of 2 people as the bullied and bully as they through obligation and remorse become friends. Caution to parents there are 2 attempts at suicide in it. But is pulled at the hart strings of this knuckle head. It’s really good.

There is a bad translation in one of the scenes that bothers the heck out of me. Everything is fine, but this one thing. In the scene, Shoko and Nao are talking on the ferris wheel (with Shoya and Yuzuru watching). Shoko says "I don't hate you." and then after the video ends Shoya says "I want her to like Nishimiya." But since I read the manga, I know that Shoko is saying that she hates herself and Shoya wants her to like herself. That changes the interpretation so much! I also bought a movie from the store with this same translation. The English dub gets it right! I just don't understand why this translation keeps being used/distributed when it's WRONG. I've seen the right one somewhere, where can I buy THAT one? Or can I edit my disc somehow?
